In the 30 or so years I have been here, I have seen our beaches steadily marching in, claiming houses and highways.

Whether something happens in 2 years or 2000 years, I never ever wanted to be at a beach front property.
Not that I ever had a chance, but I am not even wishing for one. :)

I would rather drive half an hour instead of living there.

Thanks, :)
Ed

I just want to add, that the recession of beaches here in one spot in Florida isn't necessarily evidence that the sea is rising, for it could be that the sand being taken by the sea here could be deposited elsewhere. :)

If Ohio has seafront property, then it is much worse than I thought! :scared:

I live on Lake Erie and that's where it's happening, too.

I could be wrong, but I don't think rising sea levels would effect the Great Lakes, at least not at the levels being discussed. I would think the Great Lakes are above sea level. I would have to check about that to make sure though. :)

I don't want beach front property either!

About 10? years ago my town flooded badly and we had water up to our house! No cars could drive down the road and people got out boats to get the kids from the schools! That made me realize that I didn't want to live so close to the water ;)

Anybody see the movie Waterworld?

Has anyone heard anything about pole reversal happening in the future. Now that would change the geography if it happens.

I do recall hearing that there is evidence the Earth's magnetic field has reversed polarity many times in the past, and that there are indications that such a reversal may be upcoming. How would that change geography?

I go to church on Long Island, NY.
After hurricane Sandy some of our church people lost their homes due to flood.
And some were recovering some time after that ... and prior to it there was another storm and their houses flooded ...

Me, I just lost electricity for a week when trees were getting uprooted and wires messed up.

Living close to water is not something I would like.

Thanks,:)
Ed

There a number of older maps showing Antarctica without ice and before it was discovered.
Perfectly detailed, cannot be an estimate.

I guess we move? :)

Antarctica has been covered with a thick sheet of ice for 15 million years, long before there were any humans. :)

There will be dramatic changes as we read revelation and some of the things that happen such as the sun burning men.
