Do you think unmarried couples should share a bedroom at a parent’s home when visiting for the holidays?

Would you allow your son/daughter to share a bedroom with their significant other if they weren’t married?

We sort of had this last summer in an AirBnB we were all staying in. I do not know exactly my son's arrangements when he is at his home. I asked him before we all got there is he and his longterm girlfriend were okay with separate rooms. They were. If they were to come here, we don't have the space so what they do at a hotel is what they do.

This seems like a situation where there's no obvious right answer.

In a way it's easy to say they shouldn't share a room but if they are living together anyway it seems like an exercise in posturing to insist that, for the sake of these few days, they have to act as if they aren't living together. It seems like the kind of situation where if you insist that your adult kids put on a show they'll either grudgingly accept or go and stay somewhere else, sharing a room. So unless the intention is to not have them stay with you it's hard to see what is achieved.

The rules at my home are firm and that is that if they aren't married, they have separate bedrooms. It's something that people have rolled their eyes at, but why should I encourage their sin?
