And why doesn’t he accept the Apocrypha?

I think there is a lot wrong with his theology when it is looked at closer, and if he does not accept the Apocrypha that is probably the least of his issues, and if so is one of his more orthodox views.

Joel Osteen likes to give inspiration, but he doesn't share the Gospel. At least not what I've heard from him.

I like his messages, but I’d like him more if he shared (more?) of the Gospel.

He does share the Gospel. He just doesn't share what you believe to be the Gospel.

He does share the Gospel. He just doesn't share what you believe to be the Gospel.

Then, that's not the Gospel LOL He shares that God's will is that believers are blessed with material things.

Have you heard him talk about forgiveness of sins?

Perhaps because it doesn't edify him.
The Apocrypha was/is especially used for edification in the churches, not only by the early church fathers but Catholics and protestants as well.. the book of Tobit has many great examples of charity, blessings, faith, kindness towards strangers, prayer and humbleness as well as types and shadows of things to come with plenty of symbolic cues.

Yes, some do find some parts of the Apocrypha relevant to their moment, which is why the Book of Sirach-Ecclesiasticus was quoted from in the 17th April 2021 funeral service for Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh.

Sirach-Ecclesiasticus 43:11-26

Sir 43:11-26 Look upon the rainbow, and praise him that made it; Exceeding beautiful in the brightness thereof. (12) It encircles the heaven round about with a circle of glory; The hands of the Most High have stretched it. (13) By his commandment he makes the snow to fall apace, And sends swiftly the lightnings of his judgement. (14) By reason thereof the treasure-houses are opened; And clouds fly forth as fowls. (15) By his mighty power he makes strong the clouds, And the hailstones are broken small: (16) And at his appearing the mountains will be shaken, And at his will the south wind will blow. (17) The voice of his thunder makes the earth to travail; So does the northern storm and the whirlwind: As birds flying down he sprinkles the snow; And as the lighting of the locust is the falling down thereof: (18) The eye will marvel at the beauty of its whiteness, And the heart will be astonished at the raining of it. (19) The hoar frost also he pours on the earth as salt; And when it is congealed, it is as points of thorns. (20) The cold north wind shall blow, And the ice shall be congealed on the water: It shall lodge upon every gathering together of water, And the water shall put on as it were a breastplate. (21) It shall devour the mountains, and burn up the wilderness, And consume the green herb as fire. (22) A mist coming speedily is the healing of all things; A dew coming after heat shall bring cheerfulness. (23) By his counsel he has stilled the deep, And planted islands therein. (24) They that sail on the sea tell of the danger thereof; And when we hear it with our ears, we marvel. (25) Therein be also those strange and wondrous works, Variety of all that has life, the race of sea-monsters. (26) By reason of him his end has success, And by his word all things consist.

That determines scripture?
For some people who prefer the 66 Book canon for accuracy, authenticity and inspiration, the 'poc doesn't meet these criteria, hence their nonacceptance and difference of opinion.

I think Joel Osteen and others similar to him, are all about Joel Osteen and developing follower/givers to his empire by making people feel good about themselves and encouraging them that they can have better lives.

As I recall there is a clip of an interview with him in which he seems to endorse and align with Mormons.

Tick that box.

I find everything about the Macabees and the intertestamental period, or the "silent years" as they are sometimes known, very interesting.

He makes it sound like if you stop sin then you can receive forgiveness. Is that his doctrine?
Isn't that what "to repent" mean? To turn from sin towards righteousness?

Repent is to feel sorrow for your sin and seek forgiveness and the next part of repentance is faith and believing your sins are forgiven. We can't fully stop sinning, otherwise we wouldn't need a Savior. But the Law of God leads us to contrition for those sins and then the Gospel gives us forgiveness.
