Do you or don’t you believe in unconditional love and why?

I don't. Unconditional love is no love at all. I think they use it wrong. They mean that you still love your kid, also if the kid did something very bad, but there's always some condition. What if the kid is Hitler? Is that sweet love to love him no matter what?

Unconditional love sets us up to fail. There is only one who loves unconditionally and that is God. As humans, we are created for love, but it is not unconditional. If it were, then any partner I ever had or will have, would be allowed to abuse, beat, neglect, not keep his word, or do whatever else he wants and I'd still be expected to love him. So.... no. Unconditional love is unilateral from God only, and his desire is that love will be bilateral. Either way, we love him because he first loved us - it is "conditional" in that sense. And human love needs to be reciprocated in order to have a fulfilling relationship. Imo.
