Problems Accessing Site

The most frustrating part of this issue is knowing our community is having trouble logging in, browsing the site and posting. If it was something very difficult to solve, but did not affect the community so fundamentally, then it wouldn't be so bad. The challenge of solving a problem can actually be fun, but when the problem is keeping people from using the site or preventing new users from registering, that's no fun at all.

What is very nice though, is the patience and understanding everyone is showing. It is greatly appreciated. :thumbsup:

Well, we had 28 different users visit the site in the last 24 hours - a VERY good number! So, while some of us may need to make several tries..... while we may not be able to post as much or spend as much time here..... it's seems most ARE logging on. Good there.

At another site, I have a good friend, a fellow Lutheran, EXTREMELY active and an excellent, excellent poster. I was once very active at that site and we're good friends from that. She wanted to visit the site that I'm now active at but couldn't log on. I doubt she'll try again but maybe. Just unfortunate. No one's fault. Stuff happens. When this gets solved, I'll try again....

I'm still getting database errors but more sporadically than before. For a time I just couldn't get in at all, now it's more of an annoyance than a total blockade.

I couldn't get on at all last night or earlier today..... but this time, bingo, first try, no problem at all.

When I click on it I get a database error. I can't get in a lot.

I actually haven't had any issues getting on for the last 2 days, however I can verify the db issue is still there. I never manually log out though (except on rare occasions to check that things are correct for guests), perhaps that helps me.

Yes I do close my browser...and I did get an error last night for about 20 minutes or so.:dunno:

SOMETIMES I just cannot log in. I try and try..... I try back pages and the main page..... but there is just NOTHING, only "database error."

SOMETIMES I keep trying and EVENTUALLY, for some reason, I'm in.

The SOMETIMES I get in - first try, no problem.

I find no pattern.

And sometimes, I notice I'm the only one at CH which leads me to conclude others aren't able to access the site but for some reason, I am.

I know that's no help, but it is my experience.

I'm still having the problem although it's sporadic. Sometimes if I shut down my laptop and then try to connect from my tablet I get the problem. Sometimes I'm just browsing in general and I go from everything being fine to database errors.

Sometimes if I reload a few times it starts working, sometimes it doesn't.

No apparent pattern to anything.

I got in earlier but then it took most of the day to try to get back on (I didn't try constantly of course). When everyone else was having issues I had none and now I'm having the worst time getting the page to load.
