Frankly, I don't see how your disclaimer lets you off the hook. When Ronald Reagan took his stand, he didn't say or mean that only the Republicans he liked were covered by the Eleventh Commandment. In fact, his Eleventh Commandment was mainly about Gerald Ford whom Reagan was challenging for the Republican nomination.
Your defending someone who calls other republicans all kinds of insulting names. Ron DeSanctimonious, called Mitch McConnell a "stupid person" and a "knucklehead", and called Nikki Haley "Birdbrain" that is just a few of the things he has called fellow Republicans through the years. And that doesn't include making fun of Chris Christie's weight or Carly Forina's face
Look at that face!?”, "Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!" “I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?"

Maybe if Trump would follow Reagan's 11th Commandment I would have more respect for him and consider voting for him.

All right. We all think that, too. But the issue is this--do you want more years of advancing socialism, a president who is unable to handle the duties of the office (or just doesn't care), the steady decline of our national defense readiness, the undermining of our electoral system, and every other extremist "Woke" policy.

Put another way, Trump's not perfect, but Biden is awful. And then there's Kamala. who will advance to the presidency sometime during the next four years if Biden is reelected, so, well, you know.

Debate the comparison between the two presidential tickets sometime rather than just evaluating the personal failings of one of the contenders.

Exactly, that is why I'm so disappointed that one of the other candidates didn't pull an upset in Iowa or New Hampshire. I actually gave some money to the DeSantis campaign early on. His record and positions were the best of any of the candidates. I was hoping republicans would come to their senses and realize we could have Trump policies without having the Trump baggage.

I can't in good conscious vote for either Trump or Biden. To me, my vote says more than I support your agenda. ( Policy and Agenda wise in probably 80% or more in agreement with Trump, at least on domestic policy). But, It also says I approve of who you are, the way you act, and how you represent our country. In many ways the second criteria for me is more important than the first. After all, I held my nose and voted for Romney. Now he is a true RINO, but he was well spoken, competent, and treated people with respect. Plus, no matter how you slice it, a RINO is better than a elephant.

Oh well. That's the nature of politics, I guess--everyone gets to vote for the candidate of their choice and for any reason that makes sense to them. Most often, however, those people are front and center after the election to complain about, for example, how much food costs, or that the government is snooping, or we've gotten into another war, or the border is open.

That's even though they sat on their hands when they had the chance to vote for a candidate who would have cared about and done something about all those things.
