My cell phone is old but I know of others who upgrade each year. How about you, what do you do?

About every two years. Went from a Blackjack II to an iPhone 3G to an iPhone 4S to a 6. Skipped a few in between. So we do like iPhones. We just don't always need the newest ones.

I have an LG 3G and I will use it till it doesnt work anymore. For my needs I find Tracfone works well as I dont need an expensive data plan for my needs, I like being able to buy only what I need

well I only upgrade when my phone breaks starts functioning wrong like not getting texts or calls so I really need a new one now, but I can't afford one so basically I upgrade when I can and then only when I need to.

Every few years. I need to downgrade tho as I don't use my phone as much as I use to know so it will be cheaper for Jordan and I.

I only tend to upgrade my cell phone when I absolutely need to. There is no point in spending 100's of dollars when there is no need to. If something is fit for purpose, it's fine to use on a daily basis.

Almost never. I had an ancient cell phone that fit it's purpose and that was fine until I picked a newer one up at a former place of unemployment for nearly free.

I almost never use my cell phone except as is necessary in today's world for communication, but most of the time it's turned off.

My cell phone broke about 5 years ago and I replaced it with the same, no upgrade. I will not get another phone so long as this one is working. I don't use it much anyway. I do not want a smart phone. I am happy with my pay for minutes in advance.

I had to double-take at a recent ad I saw for a phone. I think it was the latest and greatest Samsung doohickey. It costs $1800. Yes, you read that right. Nearly two thousand dollars for a device they'll expect you to upgrade in a year or two.

When we were kids we would always check the coin return on pay phones, often coming up with a couple of dimes. I don't know how kids today manage. :)
