Have you had your tonsils removed?

If so, how was the surgery, what was the recovery time, and what symptoms did you have before they were removed?

I was 5 and that was so long ago I don't remember much. My daughter had hers removed and they were removed due to chronic sore throats and ear infection. She was overnight in the hospital and then it took several days to heal. She really enjoyed having popsicles.

I haven't had mine removed, though it's not through a lack of trying. Throughout my first 30 years, I had tonsilitis many times, as well as ear infections and strep throat. In my second 30 years, I haven't had many upper respiratory issues. I now hear that it's good I didn't get them out.
