Do you have designated people at your church who take care of greeting guests?

Yes.

All are encouraged to assist him/her but one is especially and particularly responsible for and focused on that ministry.

Yes, they have dedicated "door" greeters as well as someone standing at a desk at the entry where guests can get information and a special "gift".

A reusable coffee mug and pamphlets about the church was what I was given, I think that is pretty standard for them. They have a separate "goody bag" for people that newly proclaim Christ or renew their faith, it has a Bible and some other literature.

No, but it's normal for many of the church's "regulars" to say some words of welcome to visitors after the close of the worship service and, of course, also invite them to the coffee hour following.
