100% symbolic, the very fact that many catholic priests have received drunk driving charges after masses, a no Brainer its "Real Alcohol"How do you view the act of Communion? Is it symbolic of what happened at the Last Supper, or do you believe in it transforming into the actual Body and Blood of Christ?

Unholy excuse: Priest found over drink-drive limit blamed too much Communion wine
The 41-year-old priest, identified only as Father Maurizio, was stopped by traffic police on a routine patrol on a motorway on the outskirts of Milan as he headed home.
His licence was immediately suspended after the reading showed him to have a alcohol/breath level of 0.8 when the legal limit in Italy is 0.5 but not before he had given officers his unholy excuse.
A spokesman for the city's traffic police said: 'The breath test showed that he was over the limit but he insisted he had not been drinking - apart from Communion wine which he had drunk at four Masses that day.

The wine remains wine, and the bread remains bread, it's all "Symbolic", the Roman Catholic doctrine of Transubstantiation is a "False" teaching IMHOThe wine becomes the blood, but the wine still has the appearance of wine, which means the alcohol is also still there.

Take a close look at your claim, you state the wine becomes the actual blood of Jesus, and in the same breath you state it still has alcohol, reality check

I believe the Roman Catholic doctrine of Transubstantiation is a "False" teachingSo you don't think God can do miracles and both can be at the same time? Do you believe that God said Let there be light and there was light? Why can't you believe that when Jesus said that the bread is His body that it's His body? Why can't you believe the wine is His blood? And yet both are bread and wine?
What leads you to that belief?I believe the Roman Catholic doctrine of Transubstantiation is a "False" teaching
Once AgainWhat leads you to that belief?
(Just curious, I'm not taking a position here)
Once Again

I Disagree, it's nothing more than wine that contains alcohol as seen in the Roman catholic massLike I said, the alcohol is still there...with Christ's blood.
Like I said, the alcohol is still there...with Christ's blood.
It does have alcohol in it when we partake of Communion in the material realm. But if it has some sort of effect in the spiritual realm, I doubt the alcohol crosser over, lol.
I bought a shot glass when I started having Communion at home. Communion isnt like pouring yourself a glass of wine. More like, an elixir of sorts? So a shot glass is fine. And no drunkie drunkie, lol.
Well our bodies still drink the wine...so the alcohol affects our bodies even though it's also Christ's blood in Communion. The priests, which is what the other member brought up, finishing consuming all of the wine after the congregation has finished.
The actual blood of Jesus Christ doesn't take place in a Roman Catholic Mass, their doctrine of Transubstantiation is a "False" teaching and belief just one of "Many"Well our bodies still drink the wine...so the alcohol affects our bodies even though it's also Christ's blood in Communion.
I'm new to the forums and I'm not aware of this boards ownership or back ground, is this board owned and run by Roman Catholics?Well our bodies still drink the wine...so the alcohol affects our bodies even though it's also Christ's blood in Communion. Just Curious, ThanksNo, why do you ask?
In all the churches I know about, they use grape juice instead of wine just for those who might have trouble with even a little bit of alcohol. I don't believe that God literally transforms the grape juice into Jesus' blood. He was speaking figuratively about spiritual reality in John 6, just as he did with all of his "I am" claims to say that he is truly God in the Gospel of John, thus saying, for example, that he is the God of Moses' burning bush and David's Shepherd (Psalm 23):The wine becomes the blood, but the wine still has the appearance of wine, which means the alcohol is also still there.
