Went out for dinner with a couple of friends. We don't see them socially very often because they live further away than our other friends, but we always enjoy it when we do meet up. We need to do it more often.

Just had a doze in my recliner. Tonight we're going to a gathering at a friend's house. They only recently moved in - it's a new build and from what I hear it's beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it and to catching up with everybody.

Good afternoon all, having a caramel maple syrup coffee and a lemon iced tea. For lunch today : leftovers with green tea. Doing aroma therapy and music therapy till dinner and drifting to sleep tonight.

The house is beautiful. They have two kids but still manage to keep it looking like a show home. Lots of space but a few design aspects that I found curious - there are a few things I'd have done differently if I was designing it from the ground up, but obviously it's their house and it works well for them. I took the liberty of stealing a few ideas I liked to keep in mind for when my house is closer to finished.

Tinkering with some code. I've got my next project quite close to being ready for beta release. I'm hoping this one will generate some cash if users of the previous version decide to upgrade. That could help with a few costs I'd rather not be dealing with over the next few months.

We got some sleet last night and then rain too and now I don't know if it's too icy to get out of my street since we live on a hill so I can go to church. Waiting for it go get lighter out so I can see better outside.

We had a few inches of snow, then freezing rain, then ice. The driveway is pretty slick but passable, just need to keep speed down. The main road is more or less clear. The side road to church was a bit icy in places but perfectly passable. I had to be there because I was leading the service. It was a good service, the preacher had a really good message.

Feels like a bit of a zany day even though I'm not sure we actually got a lot done. Mostly filling forms, running errands and clearing snow and ice from my wife's car, only to decide it was best if she didn't go out because the driveway was still like a sheet of ice. Later on we went out in my car - the sun had had chance to clear some of the ice and I'm more comfortable driving on ice than she is. The main roads were fine, we just needed to be sure we could get off the driveway without sliding into our house, the neighbor's house on the other side of the driveway, or any of the parked cars on the driveway.
