1) Footer links in vBulletin Modern theme need to be fixed. I see Site Links, were it has lot of google.com url and the social media column is not filled with respective social links
2) Ask a Pastor posts should remain private between two parties if the OP prefers it. Some don't like it to be public and not feel comfortable in adding more points once it is made public.
3) In Arcade if possible Christian games can be added (if available) else current games can be limited.
4) One Light, Dark and default theme for CH would be good. (just my preference)
5) I some time see a delay in opening the website, i don't know whether it is related to my ISP or anyone else is facing it.

Thanks, Jason!

I got rid of the social media links we don't have, thanks for letting us know.

I'm sorry. For now we don't have enough activity to warrant making a private forum similar to our Member Admin Center where only the member and staff can see the thread. If it picks up we'll have to see about implementing it. For now the permissions for vBulletin are just awful to try to mess around with.

3) In Arcade if possible Christian games can be added (if available) else current games can be limited.

I'm not sure if there are any Christian games that can be added.

4) One Light, Dark and default theme for CH would be good. (just my preference)

We chose a long time ago to not have a Dark theme because as a Christian site we didn't want to have it associated with any evil.

5) I some time see a delay in opening the website, i don't know whether it is related to my ISP or anyone else is facing it.

The site has been slow for me the past 3 weeks. I'm not sure what's going on with it.

2) Oh okay, i thought the thread can remain private between OP and Pastor. Which can lead to more interaction.

3) Okay, no issues. I had few bible flash games before but i don't know where the files are.

5) Glad it is not for me alone. One day the site kept loading but the page didn't load.

If you figure out the names of those games let us know and we can see if they fit with our software.

* The Support CH page - http://christianityhaven.com/payments.php looks not secure. Users who are willing to donate may find it difficult. This can be fixed by correcting the www to non-www or making https available for both.

I see most threads are not secure may be a page is not secured and the rest of pages are show in unsecured.
@Lammchen Try to fix this errors by viewing source code, even images can cause problems. I recently fixed manually on my website for some images that had http instead of https.
One more thing If you did not redirected the urls from http to https, then please do asap. It will help in better ranking in serps.
Edit :

Here are some urls you need to update
http://www.christianityhaven.com/dbtech/vbshop/images/smilies/smiley-dance018.gif
http://www.christianityhaven.com/dbtech/vbshop/images/smilies/humble.gif
http://www.christianityhaven.com/custompages.php?page=donate
"http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbecommerce.php?do=productdetails&productids=303,283,40,167,3,1,2,20,22,50,104,129,132"
http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com
http://digitalvb.com

All the social media links are http: so convert them to https: and check the page again.

I'll go through and also see why some are still acting weird regarding the URL's. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! :D

This type is like a Duplicate content and one of my site rankings dropped and started slowly de indexing. I am now using only one url method as Google suggested. You are correct any content with two links Google treats it as duplicate content that can be seen in Console.

http:// -----> https://www
http://www. ----> https://www
https:// -----> https://www
All should be redirected to one site only.

You should really consider converting to another forum script or upgrading to the latest vBulletin version. Why continue to use discontinued software when there is free software that has better features (phpBB, for example)?

It was initially done so that members from the forum that a large group of us come from used to use vBulletin and having it here made them feel right at home. I don't think that the modifications we have for CH would convert over to another software so we'd lose some things if we decided to make a change.

I agree that modification and work will cause a problem. But using an old version might put the board at risk right? It is better to try some conversion offline and see how it goes.

They definitely would not convert at all. The only things that are transported during conversions are the database and, maybe, the profile photos.

Which modifications are you most fond of? There are probably equivalents available. The points and shop mods are available on phpBB (for free) and on all other paid forums scripts (XenForo, Woltlab, Invision) except for vBulletin 5.

I've seen plenty of boards out there that use even old versions of vBulletin than we do, it all comes down to the security that the board is afforded and the work put into it.

If I were to convert the board, it would be to another paid software option.

May I ask why? Phpbb has a pretty good support community, some phpBB 3.3 themes look gorgeous (example), and most of the plugins are free. :cool:

I’ve used it before and would rather go the way of paid software with the quality of support among other things.

One thing that I want to make sure is if we do change to a new software that we want to make sure it will outlast the forum. A paid software has a better chance of making it through the years compared to free ones that have a lot of problems with security and updates and then drop out of existence. We only want to make this change one time and let that be that which is why we're researching very thoroughly.
