Just got back from a walk in the woods with my wife. One of my easier routes, as she's just getting back into walking in the woods at all. But enough to storm to the finishing line on a Fitbit challenge with some friends, leaving the person in second place something like 11 miles behind me.

Sorry about that. We had plenty of goodies too.

It's OK. We had a pretty good fellowship lunch at our church today, followed by games outside. Most of the game players were the kids - we had assorted stuff laid on for them. Most of the adults chatted.

Adults tend to do that LOL Our adults chatted too and I was too bashful to stop them from talking so I could make an announcement.

If we need to make an announcement we just tap the mic a few times and people soon quieten down.

Started off with 5 kitties, we gave one away to the lady who gave me the pregnant cat, one disappeared, and my favored Cat I named Toby disappeared :(, the dogs chase them under the cars and I guess they leave with the vehicle and either get killed or jump out becoming strays, now we have two left, we got them to hunt mice specifically... i hate that they go up inside vehicles and won't come out if you call them. I usually count them all before I leave anywhere but I was gone a few days and now he's gone. Just sucks!

It's raining so I'm waiting until tomorrow morning to go get groceries. Right now I'm thinking about what I want for breakfast.

Contemplating whether to attempt an electrical job single-handed or wait for my wife to get home. Her electrical knowledge is more or less zero but it can make quite a difference having an extra pair of hands to help feed cables, particularly when they are being fed through tight spaces. Since it's cooler today the crawl space I need to get into shouldn't be unbearably hot.

I'm getting use to wearing an insulin pump. I'm keeping an exercise journal so I can record my blood sugars before and after exercise to look for trends. Sometimes I have dropped quite a few points when I exercise, which is normal. Strength training seems to raise it though

Decided not to attempt the electrical job, so did some other electrical stuff instead. I'd found a junction box in a really stupid place, joining a nasty clutch of cables that are all coming out sooner or later. For now I want to keep a couple of sockets active, so joined the necessary cables back together but in a way that lets me put the ceiling fan there. One of the sockets is now dead, as it's all but inaccessible and I figured I might as well take the opportunity to not reconnect it back into the clutch.

Then I lifted a load of cellulose insulation from an awkward crawl space, replaced it with fiberglass and laid a couple of boards. That will make it much easier to get at the electrical job I want to get done - instead of balancing precariously on joists in an area full of cellulose and with a very low pitched roof I can lie on the boards. That alone will make a big difference.

Now I just hope the cable I ran from the basement to the attic is long enough to connect everything the way I want them connected. If not I'll have to rethink a few things - I don't really want to be running another cable for the sake of being a couple of feet short.

Hoping I don't need to be moving some of the heavy stuff in long term storage in our attic. We have three box springs and three mattresses in a stack, along with three bed frames. At some point the plan is to sell them, I'm just not thrilled at the thought of hauling all that stuff down two flights of stairs and along narrow hallways to get it out. But in case I do need to move it I cleared a space, which meant moving 63 100-year-old windows from one end of the attic to the other. I moved them months ago so I could lift the floor but now the floor is lifted and replaced they can go back, which frees up another bunch of space.

If I can figure the easiest way to move a dresser the next electical job is to put a ceiling fan in the guest bedroom. Sooner or later I need to pull down the ceiling in the old study, which will be interesting because there's some furniture in there that can't sensibly be taken out. Mr Dust Sheet looks like he's set to get another outing.

Getting birthday gifts ready for my sisters-in-law. I got them Amazon gift cards and little jams from a local Amish place.
