Lazy morning, got some stuff to do on the laptop later on and debating whether to get cleaned up and write some code, or hold off on the shower and break some more of the house. I really want to take the window frames out and refit everything but a rainy day doesn't seem like a good time to be doing that.

Maybe I'll take some measurements in my secondary work room so I can figure out how many wall studs I'm going to need, then think about buying some timber and cutting it all to size. It would be really good if I can get two rooms sorted out quickly. It will be fun trying to figure out how to get that many 8' studs into my car. Maybe I'll look at lashing them to the roof bars instead, and just drive home slowly.

Still a lazy day. I cut up some wood and made a picture frame that's currently gluing. It's going to need a little bit of filler - one of the splines snapped as I tried to press it into place. The only spare I had was slightly too wide and I could only take so much time to cut it because all the corners were getting busy setting solid as the glue dried. For good measure something that small can't be cut with a table saw or any of my other power tools, so I ended up trying to shave a sliver off of the width of it with a chisel, also trying not to either break it or stick a chisel in my finger as I did it.

It's close, it's just not quite as small as I'd like it to be. So one of my joins isn't a perfect fit. Slightly disappointing but the best I can do given the circumstances. By the time it's lacquered I'm hoping it won't show up too badly.

Total break from working on the house today. I'm working the sound desk for a funeral at church this morning and have a meeting shortly after lunch. So I'll fill the gaps with some computer related stuff. I've got some more possible project work coming, which is handy because it aligns almost perfectly with some work I was contemplating doing anyway, so maybe I'll try and get a jump start on that. If it doesn't result in an order it will result in satisfying my curiosity as to just how far I can push a particular coding approach.

Loving the sunshine, wishing it was a little warmer so I could go for a walk in the woods. This kind of temperature is when I have to be careful - even when it's in the low 30s the walk up the mountain is strenuous enough for me to sweat freely, which then causes me problems when I walk down the north side of the mountain. Not only is it the north side and therefore cooler but the walking is far less strenuous, which means it saps my body heat very fast. Even working with layers only goes so far, when the innermost layer is damp with sweat there's only so much that can be done. And of course when I get to the furthest point I turn around and walk back up the mountain, sweating again.

Had a great scope at the doctor's and now I'm appointment free until April! Woo Hoo! Okay, probably end of March since I'll need my routine cat scan before I go back for the next scope.

Neither. Foster care is considered a level 2 placement. A group home is a level 3 which means it has someone there who is always awake and there are generally alarms on the doors and windows. Usually most group homes have four clients. My client is a teenager who is doing things that are not safe

So is that something loosely like foster care but with a higher level of supervision?
