    If you sin and don't turn back to God, you could fall from faith. That's the difference. Repentance is turning away from sin and toward God. When someone repeatedly sins and doesn't repent, he isn't turning back to God and could lose faith all together.

    If you don't turn to God, then you aren't in full repentance. Turning away from sin...that's only the first part. The second part is turning toward God as the verse states. Again you keep leaving God out of the equation and don't give Him credit where it's due.

    You left out God. You need to put God back into the truth of what repentance is. Acts 20:21 "I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus."

    You refuse to see that the Christian repentance is not just stopping from doing something wrong. It's turning to God in faith. Nonbelievers don't believe in God to turn to Him. Hence, they do not fully repent.

    Sinning is not the path to salvation. God does not cause people to sin. They do that because of the Fall. I'm not sure why you would try to make such an argument. I think it's a ridiculous one. Non believers do not repent because they do not turn to God. That's what Christian repentance is...

    I need to ask my grocer if they have that too. The ripped ones I just throw in the trash but we re-use the ones with no holes in them for cleaning the guinea pig cage as well as liners in the bathroom trash bins.

    I counted 10 different versions that say "Be saved". So yes, it is a passive tense that is used otherwise none of those would even try to state it.

    You have implied things that I do not believe, nor have I stated here. In fact, it seems you haven't been reading what I have said concerning the topic. I do not believe all will be in heaven...and that is because mankind CAN reject God.

    It's important to realize that the verse is NOT saying "work for". It's saying "work out" which means to remain faithful to God and trust that He saves us. Scriptures warns us carefully that we can fall away so it also encourages us to remain faithful working out that salvation that God promises...

    I'm not a huge fan of tattoos at all! For me it just doesn't feel right to mar the body. That's just my own personal opinion. As for whether or not it's a sin, I really don't know.

Here's another "be saved"...not save yourself from Acts 16:29-31 and notice how he doesn't say do good works and then you can save yourself: Calling for lights, the jailer...
