The house we currently live in was built in 2001. We bought it in 2013 and thought for sure that since it was a newer house that there would be nothing to do, but we were wrong. We had to replace the HVAC within the first year, the water pressure pump and a bunch of other minor things. It's not exactly a money pit, but each month we seem to have to pay for something. My next home will be smaller so there is less to pay for.
