Theology on Divorce

What is your understanding of Divorce from a Biblical/Christian perspective?

Depends. Adultery yes. Porn etc hmm depends on the person. Not if he tries to get rid of it and isn't a total creep. Just kick those unclean demons out, but if he is totally unrepentant yes. Physically abusive depends how bad it is. You don't leave for a hit. Verbally abusive no except when he or she is an unrepentant demon posessed narcissist, but then there was T.B. Joshua who would kick the demon out and let her bow. Since that happens nowhere and if unrepentant yup divorce.
Romantic relationship no but the one who does that may break up and also depends. If it's a total creep it's like leave an unbeliever who doesn't want to live with you. Because it says dont eat with a drunkard who calls himself a brother. Oh what about drugs and alcohol? My granddad saved Jews, had to go to a concentration camp. That was so horrid that when he came back he became an alcoholic and he could be agressive and he wasn't saved. She stayed with him and he got saved. Nowadays they would advice to leave.
And remarriage is often sin, so if it was sin to marry anyway all those rules don't count. Just divorce, so you don't live in sin. John the baptist said to Herod: You may not have the wife of your brother.

Ponder this, and I don't have an answer:

What of people that divorce and then re-marry, but now realize that may be an issue with what they have done? How are they to address the situation they are now in? The RCC has a process for annulment, but most other churches do not, and even then annulment is not guaranteed. They did not enter the union under the belief that a sin would be created, but they may find themselves in such now. Are the people supposed to live their lives in chastity for the rest of their marriage?

FWIW I voted "other" as I just don't know.

Someone on another forum once said that new converts with more than one wife in some country where theu evangelized, they would just leave it like that, because they had kids from both. Sounds like they did that in the N.T., because a demand for a pastor and an elder was to have 1 wife. Sounds like others had more.
