Sounds like an article I read about (I think) Maxine Waters, who was vehemently opposed to people being required to produce ID in order to vote, while she herself required ID for people to attend her town hall meetings.

But then these days if you can find one single black person who doesn't have photo ID and might find it a little bit inconvenient to get one, requiring it to vote is "disenfranchising black people" and therefore racist.

Since the country would be an enclave, the USA would have to allow the citizens of said country to have routes through which they could have relationships with other countries.

OK, so if that's the case (which may not be a given, if the existence of the country is in dispute) then grant a narrow passageway to the nearest point on the coast and let them develop whatever international bonds they want. I don't imagine a bunch of hippies in a commune will do very well negotiating international treaties but, you know, good luck to them.

Looks like police will be allowed back in the area since a murder took place. They all thought they would have a city of love forgetting that we're all sinners and crimes will be committed at some point by some people. I read an interesting article about why Trump isn't doing anything about Seattle. The gist of it was that the hard left was hoping to provoke him into an over-reaction but instead he's just let them play their games and demonstrate what happens when they are in charge, what it looks like if the protestors get their way.

First if I may, it is not a new country. It is an occupied terror-tory, taken over by racist anarchist violent criminal members of ANTIFA( A name adopted from the original early 20th century anti-Nazi movement that originated in Russia, as I recall. ANTIFA , the radical American version, was newly added to the terrorist watch list in American Federal law enforcement, as well as deemed a terrorist organization), and BLM (Black Lives Matter), an oxymoron in itself, funded by billionaire Liberals seeking to instigate a racist uprising in America.

It is a terrorist takeover of 6 to 10 blocks of a retail zone in Seattle Washington. Festival people don't hand out AR-15's to attendees. They don't shoot people. They don't rape a male pastor who dared enter the BLM/ ANTIFA (antifascist) terror-tory to minister the Gospel. They don't blackmail businesses in the occupied terror-tory, demaning money or else that business will be burned to the ground. They don't occupy a terror-tory and then realize, hey, we'll need to potty and eat! And then beg the police, police that evacuated the precinct in that terror-tory so that there is no protection for law abiding civilians, for port-a-potties and food, so that the occupying terrorists could survive.

The zone of terror occupation is known today as CHOP. (Capital Hill Organized Protest Zone) They can't even get the acronym for their terror-torial occupation right. It was formerly known as CHAZ (Capital Hills Autonomous Zone) There's plenty of news about this.
Stay away from CNN and NY Times reporting as well as MSNBC. Those outlets are known for fake news and a Liberal bias.
