"For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have
said: We are His offspring." (Acts 17:28)
All are sons of God in a created sense; sort of like the workshop relationship
between Geppetto and Pinocchio. In other words; it was by God's craftsmanship
that we exist.
To illustrate this further:
There's a guy in the book of Genesis said to be the inventor of woodwind
instruments. As such he became the father of all who take up music that way, viz:
sons of God is a very loose term, sort of like sons of thunder, sons of the prophets,
and/or sons of Belial.
Compare Luke 6:35 where charitable folk are called sons of God: apparently
irrespective of their age, race, gender, and/or religious preference.

The next best thing to being God's direct descendant, is to be His kin by means of
adoption because adopted kids have a right to identify themselves by their adopted
father's name, a right to be in his genealogy, a right to his providence, and a right to
inheritance the same as any of his direct descendants.
