This is rather interesting, it takes a while to figure out because you have to read the other suggestions in paragraphs while other suggestions are just simply 'yes' or 'no'
I eventually ended up at "some of the the United Methodist Churches out there" lol, but I did go through others first.. one being "Charismatic Baptist"

If you have trouble viewing the chart you can simply google image search 'what denomination am i chart' and there you can zoom in

Looks like there's no room for Orthodox groups.

I disagree with the Lutheran placement.

It's an interesting chart, unlike any I have seen before, and not like the ones that purport to show the family tree of denominations branching off from each other over time. But the many different views seem to be channeled into only a handful of different denominations, and they (for the most part) are fairly similar to each other, leaving out a whole lot of other possible answers, whether Catholic, Orthodox, or Protestant.

I didn't get past the second step....

Curious that the original and largest Protestant denomination in the world is missing (there's a totally wrong placement of the ELCA, but even that liberal group is misplaced - even it doesn't believe what the chart indicates)

This one is much better, IMO http://www.selectsmart.com/FREE/select.php?client=christiandenom

I think the chart is assuming that all of those options are available, which in some areas of the country they might not be.

As usual with those online tests, this one didn't come close to tabbing my affiliation/orientation correctly. It called me a Lutheran! o_O

More to the point, though, the problem with these tests--and many people have created one--is that only a certain number of questions are allowed, so if only three or four topics take up most of the allotted space, it's not going to produce a very accurate guess at the end.

... well, and it's WRONG. I couldn't get past the second step because it ASSUMED positions no Lutheran accepts.

On the contrary, that is the only way to operate such a test. It gives the answer, and if a church of that sort is available, well then, you have some guidance. If none is available where the reader lives, the church that was identified is still deemed to be the best fit (in the opinion of the author).

Obviously, if the test is put on the internet, there is no way of ascertaining if all, which ones, or none of a dozen denominations is within driving distance of anybody who might take the test.

Well, it is a chart produced for Confessional Lutherans, you know, so naturally they are the only ones who wont look silly if the questions are followed to the end.

The chart seems to have the Presbyterians a little more liberal than they seem to be as well. The PCUSA has both liberal and conservative congregations.
