Sort of like drunkenness appears to be the mainstay of excessive alcohol consumption?

Except belief does occur without faith, it just occurs for things about which there is actual evidence. It's called reasoning. :)

yes ,, -"Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool. 19"If you consent and obey, .............."

Very true, faith is not reasoning. It is believing without reason. Hence, there is no call to reproach another for not having the same faith as ourselves, as was done a few posts back.

I've never thought of my faith as believing without reason; on the contrary my faith is built on reasons.

Faith is more or less belief without evidence, and reasoning is the process of thinking about something in a logical way in order to form a conclusion or judgment. Reasoning, therefore, does not lead to faith.

My objection here in this thread though is not with faith itself, but with one person implying another has no faith simply because they do not believe the end times are upon us.

There is evidence that the Druze Faith is comprised of 7 schools of religious study. The unity of these schools could be seen as an eighth unified school. The vast majority of the Druze are in Syria and Palestine. They are being attacked from many for a reason that isn't fully understood or even partially by some. The beginning of the end will come from the north. The Druze being overthrown could be related to prophetic documentation that is related in purpose yet not in any other way.

Faith is based on personal evidence in part. It is not based on foundless assertions, but on things that aren't readily provable through the physical and not knowable of a third party.

Hadnt thought about that, why do you think this may be tied to end times prophecy? I see Russia and China moving in as a definite sign of end times

"Personal evidence" or that not knowable to anyone else is of no use to compel the reasoning to believe.

It's difficult to explain right now due to my own fault. The antichrist will come from Syria in a way. This doesn't mean out of Syria per say but could come from the destruction of it. The seven faiths or candles are extremely important. As is Faithful unity. If the antichristis to come out of Syria it could easily come out of the ashes of Syria as a liberator. Syria and Palestine are significant. Faith and unity are significant. This is what the Druze stand for and believe in wholly under the one God. Only have fragments of knowledge right now. Have to work no will be back later.

Faith in selfless Unity for Good.

Even though the Scriptures do not specifically say who the Antichrist will be, the overall consenus is that he will be the 'saviour' of the EU which itself is the continuation of the old Roman Empire, particularly with its connection with Rome which took over Romes mantle through the first RC pope who was the Roman Emperor Constantine. The false prophet will undoubtedly be a religious figure who could very well be a future pope or maybe the leader of the World Council of Churches, where both of these religious organisations could very well end up being one and the same creature.

This would make NATO the Antichrist's personal force of oppression and looking at NATO's behaviour in recent years where it it being used (or is maybe the catalyst) to unstable Europe along with the Russian Federation, then we can see how this force could easily lead the EU down the path of destruction where an 'Antichrist' could easily arise to supposedly pull it out of its troubles.

The issue in Syria is certainly interesting particularly as we now have NATO (through Turkey), USA, Russian Federation, China and a number of smaller countries such as Australia being involved, where the animosity that exists between the various parties could possibly see some of these forces accidently engaging with each other. Even though I doubt if air support alone is able to stop IS and the other Syrian terrorists groups, this means that the Syrian army will have to do most of the work but from what we've seen in the media it "appears" that the Russian airforce has so far been very effective in knocking out IS and other Syrian terrorist targets. If the Russians can avoid targeting hospitals which the US targeted in Afghanistan this week then things could possibly go well.

Yeah if Russia would actually be taking on ISIS but instead most of their targets seem to be rebel forces against Assad.

There is nothing in scripture that says unity of faith will produce the antchrist from within. Although ancient traditional Roman Catholisism is directly tied to the misdirection of much of religion doen't mean that form of idol worship would be part of a unified Faith. Look into Bahia and Druze. Neither of these seem to accept independent Catholic doctrine. Catholisism maintains its division from Faith. That form of catholisism always will. To confuse the right direction under God with the beginings and onset of the antichrist and beast is deception and confusion. The work of the divided and hidden.

As the so called "moderate" Syrian terrorists which were trained and armed by the US moved quickly over to ISIL (maybe this was their intent in the first place), then I can understand why Russia is treating them much the same way as they are with ISIL. As any of the various Islamo-terrorist groups are a major threat to stability in Syria, where once these 'moderates' gain control they will undoubtedly continue to persecute the Christians, then I certainly welcome Russia's intent to destablise any of the Islamo-terrorist organisations.

Bashar al-Assad may be a creep and a killer so he is not the sort of man one would vote for but the folk that the USA has backed may also be killers and creeps and so they are not the sort of people one would vote for either.

Islamic State may not have come into existence but for the USA's invasion of Iraq. The unintended consequence of the invasion of Iraq is that around 1.2 million Christians who used to live in Iraq are either dead or living somewhere else, like refugee camps in Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon.
