It's all in the eye of the beholder. If a U.S. based group attacked another nation, then they would be doing no different than we did when we were attacked if they then saw us as a terrorist nation.
Once again you are tripping over your own feet, Mark. The USA has never attacked anyone without provocation. A true mark of liberalism is to attempt to pull out the "moral equivelance" card.

I'm not anti-Christian...I am anti- "atrocities done in the name of religion" regardless of the religion.
Unfortunately, your choice of wording is classic "anti-Christian." What is your religion? Do you attend services every Sunday?

Yes, because of course the Europeans had a "God-given" right to Arab lands, right? The West has unjustly felt it has a right to certain "Holy" lands and those who actually live there resent this. You are too blind to have any empathy. And I proudly served in the U.S. military, and as a true patriot, I see the problems with this nation that need to be addressed and want changes in our policies to be made. A patriot is not someone who ignorantly feels his country is right, no matter what they do.
If you served in the U.S. military, you should begin to ACT like it. And, of course, if you really did serve, I thank you for your service! :)

Ummm...okay. Let me guess, you listen to Rush Limbaugh?
Ummm...okay. Let me guess, you DON'T listen to Rush Limbaugh?

No, I will stay right here, thank you very much. I favor making this nation better, and turning away from our war-mongering recent history. But I get where you are coming from..."America, love it or leave it." I wonder what the founding fathers thought when Loyalists said the same to them.
I know what our founding fathers would have said when we were pulled into WWII. And they would say much the same thing regarding our response after being pulled into war after Sept. 11, 2001. Your problem, Mark, is that you fancy this to be a PRE-9/11 world. That is avoiding reality and is, yet again, another liberal failing.

I can't say this statement surprises me in the least.
Why should it surprise you at all?

I read you loud and clear...and I know your agenda inside and out.
The agenda of a conservative is to respect and promote the Judeo-Christian values that this nation was founded on. I truly wish it was YOUR's as well. But, sadly, you are very confused with your anti-American, socialist agenda.

True facts? You seem to have no concept of what this is. You call anything that disagrees with you worldview "techobabble" and liberal misinformation. You seem to confuse any wishes for a positive change in American policy as "Anti-American." If I had a friend who was participating in destructive behavior, would I be against him for wanting him to make a positive change? A true friend tells you things you might not want to hear, while a poor excuse for a friend just smiles and nods and gives you a pat on the back no matter what you do. America has enough yes men, but they are not the true patriots. I want being an American something to live up to, not something to live down.

There is nothing "unAmerican about American policy." The real "unAmerican" elements are things that are being done TO the USA by liberals like yourself. Liberalism, itself, is destructive behavior. But most liberals are too far into the woods to recognize the trees.

And the more you display your embarrassment of being an American, the louder your liberal colors become. I wish I could help you recover from this. I truly do. :)

I love going at it with liberals. It's like we can love the sinner, but hate the sin. Translation: I'm sure I would still like you if I met you -- in spite of your terrible confusion about the great nation that allows you the freedom to speak out 180 degrees out of phase. :)

Once again you are tripping over your own feet, Mark. The USA has never attacked anyone without provocation. A true mark of liberalism is to attempt to pull out the "moral equivelance" card.

I was asking you to think hypothetically...to imagine if a U.S. based terrorist group attacked another nation. I then asked you to imagine how you would feel if that nation unleashed its war machine on our soil. You dodged that.

Unfortunately, your choice of wording is classic "anti-Christian." What is your religion? Do you attend services every Sunday?

If I speak out against the atrocities done in the name of Christianity throughout history, and this makes me anti-Christian in your book, then so be it. Take a look at my postbit...you will see I am an atheist. What does this have to do with anything?

If you served in the U.S. military, you should begin to ACT like it. And, of course, if you really did serve, I thank you for your service! :)

How does a veteran act? Can a veteran not criticize their own government, when said government has some really bad policies?

Ummm...okay. Let me guess, you DON'T listen to Rush Limbaugh?

No, he is a drugged-up nut-job. Why would I waste my time listening to someone who thinks global warming is a hoax? That would be like taking someone who thinks the Earth is flat seriously.

Let me explain the difference between WWII and 9/11. On December 7, 1941, we were attacked by the nation of Japan. On Septemeber 11, 2001, we were not attacked by a nation...we were attacked by terrorists, not acting on behalf of any nation. Do you see the major fundamental difference here? I would say you are the one overlooking reality.

Why should it surprise you at all?

It shouldn't and it doesn't. You are not the first, nor will you be the last that I encounter that will ignore facts when they don't like them.

The agenda of a conservative is to respect and promote the Judeo-Christian values that this nation was founded on. I truly wish it was YOUR's as well. But, sadly, you are very confused with your anti-American, socialist agenda.

Because I disagree with some of our nation's policies, this makes me a socialist? You do know that some of our founding fathers were not Christian, right? Jefferson and Franklin were deists. I have no need for Judeo-Christian values...a Christian does not automatically have the moral high ground, despite their belief that it does.

There is nothing "unAmerican about American policy." The real "unAmerican" elements are things that are being done TO the USA by liberals like yourself. Liberalism, itself, is destructive behavior. But most liberals are too far into the woods to recognize the trees.

I am neither liberal nor conservative...I just want our nation to do what's right, regardless of silly labels and mindless flag-waving.

And the more you display your embarrassment of being an American, the louder your liberal colors become. I wish I could help you recover from this. I truly do. :)

Our foreign policies are embarrassing...our students are being taught magical explanations alongside science in our science classrooms...we are a laughing stock to more developed nations. Half of our population thinks evolution is a hypothesis for which there is no real evidence. We have people who think the universe is less than 10,000 years old. We have a long way to go to catch up with the more developed nations.

I love going at it with liberals. It's like we can love the sinner, but hate the sin. Translation: I'm sure I would still like you if I met you -- in spite of your terrible confusion about the great nation that allows you the freedom to speak out 180 degrees out of phase. :)

Sorry if I point out that the Emperor is actually naked. :)

I did not dodge it. I ignored it, much the same as I would walk around a dogpie in the park withouth actually bothering with it.

As I said, you are anti-Christian. You are falling right in line with those who do not believe in God. So your comments are quite predictable because you are right inside of the mold.

How does a veteran act? Can a veteran not criticize their own government, when said government has some really bad policies?

If you are criticizing the communist that is currently running our government, you would be just fine. But criticizing your government for protecting our nation, after it was attacked, is the mark of a true veteran -- on the enemy's side.

No, he is a drugged-up nut-job. Why would I waste my time listening to someone who thinks global warming is a hoax? That would be like taking someone who thinks the Earth is flat seriously.

No, he is not a "drugged-up nut-job." He is grounded in facts and reality -- the things that you find as distasteful as Bela Lagosi found a crucifix. Being a "drugged nut job" is actually the definition of a liberal -- without the drugs because it comes to them naturally.

The only phrase that matters in your passage up above is, "we were attacked." Uninformed, confused people like you are the reason that attack took place.

It shouldn't and it doesn't. You are not the first, nor will you be the last that I encounter that will ignore facts when they don't like them.

Yes, I ignore your 2+2=3 logic. But, of course, it makes perfect sense to you.

No. Because you talk in socialist terms, you make yourself a socialist. Jeeeeez, just how confused can a human mind become? LOL

If you have no need for the Judeo-Christian principles on which our great nation was founded, I would recommend that you seek another country in which you would be more comfortable. Believe me, we're stronger WITHOUT you than with you. :)

I am neither liberal nor conservative...I just want our nation to do what's right, regardless of silly labels and mindless flag-waving.

You are far beyond liberal, as I've told you. And definitely NOT a decent, moral conservative. You are a socialist.

Well, in a small way, we can agree. The communist currently infesting our oval office DOES have foreign policies that are embarrassing. That is why we need a good, strong conservative -- like Ronald Reagan -- back in the oval office to set our nation back to right again.

As for evolution, it is a very interesting theory regarding human beings. It certainly is a fact when considering lower life forms. But, in the human part of the issue, you guys are STILL looking for the missing link. Haven't found it yet. But, then again, it is right there for you to discover in just a simply 3 letter word. Since you like hypens, I'll use 'em for you ..... G-O-D. :)

Why would anyone think the Earth (not the universe) is only 10,000 years old? We have proven that it is 4.5 billion years old. Does your massive confusion even extend to astronomy & geology???

Sorry if I point out that the Emperor is actually naked. :)

Yes, but you can put on clothing any time you wish. :)

I read that as you would object to another nation unleashing their war machine on our soil, which I knew was the case to begin with. You are just too stubborn to admit it.

As I said, you are anti-Christian. You are falling right in line with those who do not believe in God. So your comments are quite predictable because you are right inside of the mold.

Fortunately, what you say as a matter of opinion means nothing to me. If I were so anti-Christian as you so accuse, why would I volunteer a great deal of my time here contributing my skill as a vBulletin coder?

I will criticize who and what I please when I find it distasteful.

I guess you are too young to remember his drug problem. I will say it again...he thinks global warming is a hoax. You are quite confused.

The only phrase that matters in your passage up above is, "we were attacked." Uninformed, confused people like you are the reason that attack took place.

Wow, you are really reaching for straws now.

Yes, I ignore your 2+2=3 logic. But, of course, it makes perfect sense to you.

That was not logic, but the result of research.

No. Because you talk in socialist terms, you make yourself a socialist. Jeeeeez, just how confused can a human mind become? LOL

Whatever floats your boat.

A little nostalgia?

Every time another transitional species is found, the likes of you will claim there are two more gaps. Visit a science museum sometime, you will find it enlightening.

Just because someone is a liberal they are not committing a crime being one. It's too bad you are not more open minded to differences in others.

I just am asking because I don't really like the Democrat or Republican parties. I think a new party should be for everyone to benefit from.

It often seems that elections offer the question posed at the end of the Ghostbusters movie, "Choose the form of the destroyer".

A third party would be good but it would take time for them to gain any traction and many electoral systems seem to be designed to discourage voting for a new party.

So, you believe it is WRONG to object to another nation attacking our country? You are even more liberal than I thought. LOL

Fortunately, what you say as a matter of opinion means nothing to me. If I were so anti-Christian as you so accuse, why would I volunteer a great deal of my time here contributing my skill as a vBulletin coder?

Cut the nonsense. You ARE anti-Christian and should have the courage to just come out and acknowledge it. As for how you spend your time, I am not really interested.

I will criticize who and what I please when I find it distasteful.

Typical liberal -- when it comes to finding things distasteful, you always start with your own country. Once again, you fall into the trap.

I guess you are too young to remember his drug problem. I will say it again...he thinks global warming is a hoax. You are quite confused.

He had no drug problem, aside from becoming temporarily hooked on the prescriptions he was taking for an extremely painful back -- that eventually required surgery. You should know this since you've admitted that you are old enough to know better.

As for global warming, of course it is a hoax. But I'm sure you're into believing it hook, line and sinker. ROTFLMAO

Wow, you are really reaching for straws now.

Ironic that you libs love to create straw men.

That was not logic, but the result of research.

Whatever it was, it still springs from the same math.

Socialism has nothing to do with my criticism of our war-mongering policies.

Sure it does. You are a socialist/communist. And socialist/communists hate America and always try to tear it down.

So, if I don't believe the things you believe, I should leave. How Christian of you.

No. You should leave simply because you hate this nation. Bill O'Reilly just made an interesting statement this evening -- must be reading your posts. He said, "You can renounce your citizenship anytime you want. Nobody is forced to be an American." So, as you can see, you DO have options if you can find a nation more suited to your communist ideals. :)

Whatever floats your boat.

I notice that you did not deny my statement that you are a socialist. Because THAT is what floats YOUR boat.

A little nostalgia?

Sounds like a NIGHTMARE from your point of view? LOL

Every time another transitional species is found, the likes of you will claim there are two more gaps. Visit a science museum sometime, you will find it enlightening.

"You can run, but you cannot hide" is the unofficial translation of your comment. As much as you libs strain & pretzel yourselves into false explanations, you still have NOT found that elusive missing link to prove your claim. Same notation for the hoax of manmade global warming. :)

Are you even reading what I post?
I have a nose and do not have to step into everything that smells, my friend. I already know what is inside of your head -- and virtually everything you say comes from that sordid mindset. So it is not necessary to see every word you say -- because it's pretty much all the same thing. :)

See ya tomorrow! :)

Nah...you are down to posting sheer nonsense not even related to what I am saying. You are in your own little ditto-head world. You come here to post your drivel about politics and nothing more. You do not contribute anything valuable to this site and I suspect nowhere else either.

Dems and Repubs... They're both cut from the same cloth. Yes, I agree with you that we need a new party. We already have a good party, ya just hardly ever see them... the US Constitution party. Unfortunately they are hardly even on the political map, especially on the Federal level. They at least hold to Godly values, which is very much needed back in this country again.

If the Repub leadership (John "Boner" and Mitch McConnell) continue to be cowardly and keep bending over for the Democrats, they could eventually push their own party into 3rd party status. In such an event, perhaps a truly conservative party -- like the Tea Party -- could replace it as one of the two major parties.

Voters truly need a clear choice -- and they are not getting it these days with the Repubs essentially becoming nothing more than a lighter version of the Democrat party.

So, there are many politicians and political parties which I disagree with. As a Christian, I am called to pray for them and to treat them with respect. I am called not to be rebellious. In a country with democratic processes, it is difficult, but still commanded of us. Anyone need verses?

Yeah, we really neeed the tea party after their last debacle that almost forced us into default and shut the government down, I believe that the voterws spoke loud and clear when it comes to the tea party

In the USA, political parties have always been LOOSE and rather informal (and flexible) alliances of interests...... They are held together (to the extend they are) mostly by the felt need for each other. SOME of these make sense, often they don't (for example, what does Pro-Gun have to do with Pro-Life?)

Often, parties STRUGGLE for pecking order.... priorites .... of these various groups. One we see in the Republican party for example is the "social conservative/Christian" side (often strongly aligned with the pro-life bunch) struggling with the libertarian side and the "lesser government is better government" group, and the various gun groups, and the "Reagan Economics" group - etc. etc. They all struggle for pecking order - especially as we head up to the Convention. NORMALLY, the primaries would reflect that but even with this historical HUGE field, that's not really happening this time. Alliances can even come apart. Consider that blacks use to be Republicans - and that whole movement went to the Democrats in the late about 60-70 years ago' or that Democrats use to be pro-life and republicans largely libertarian on that.

I think for the observer, all this looks very messy and at times hypocritical and inconsistent. Because it is. But all these various factions, they KNOW that on their own, they would get nowhere. They have to bond with others who will bond back with a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" approach. It's how we do politics in the USA. It's messy and it's dirty. And above all, PRAGMATIC.

I "get" all that..... what bothers and offends me is the deception.... how politicians in their ENORMOUS egos and quests..... manipulate us. Saying WHATEVER to get elected - and then it all just goes "poof." As if we won't notice (and generally, we don't). It's ACTORS..... on a STAGE..... and we buy into it. I think of Clinton and Gore who both were passionately pro-life (Gore was even a keynote speaker at a Right to Life Convention) - because in the south then, most were prolife. But INSANTLY, when they ran for president and vice-president - a 180 degree reversal. (Not picking on Democrats, Bush the first and Ronald Reagan did the same in reverse). Romney was pro-life in Utah, pro-choice in Mass, then pro-life when he ran for president. Need I go on? I feel like I'm at the theatre, watching actors.... and it offends me. Is it like this in every country? As I understand it, yes. I know of no better system than democracy, but it stinks nonetheless.
