Impeach Donald.

The process is that the house draws up articles of impeachment based on investigation of alleged crimes and having decided that the crimes really are crimes and really did occur they impeach and then the Senate tries the already impeached person and if they too find guilt they convict said person and the outcome is expulsion from whatever office they hold.

Do let's impeach Donald for his many high crimes and misdemeanours.

He obstructed justice.

He lied repeatedly, but since his lies were not under oath he is not guilty of purgery just of dishonesty.

And his words and alleged actions are morally repugnant.

Impeach Donald!

MennoSota (P0st #3):
I'm rooting for the Dingo Party to beat out the Kangaroo Party. However, the Kuala Party may surprise everyone.

I suggest that MennoSota has geography mixed up.

There are no Kualas in Australia. They are found in Malaysia. There is a well known sub-species called Kuala Lumpur.

==============================================================================================

But I suppose I could be a drongo and vote for the Koala Party.

That's called an "informal vote" here, it does not count.

Kind of like your call for impeaching Trump in the US? It doesn't count. :smirk:

The way MC keeps up with the endless whining I was starting to think Australia had elected The Donald to be their president.

Maybe he is gloating because his country gets to hog most of the Dangerous Bitey Things and the rest of the world has to go without.

One can never be jealous about the decline and fall of a once friendly nation. The USA is in grave danger. Its current POTUS is exacerbating the danger.

Australia's federal election is trundling along, vote-day is the 18th May.

One hopes for a change of PM and of party governing the land.

The current PM is far from encouraging and his party along with its supporting coalition member needs a period as opposition.

It is election day eve and the votes are in and counting started. Looks close. We may have the current government returned for another 3 year term.

Or we may not,

it is complicated

Perhaps the Dangerous Bitey Things Party will steal a stunning victory after all.

Mercifully Australian election campaigns last a few weeks out of every three years rather than being continuous as appears to be the case in the USA where there's a federal election every 2 years on fixed dates with "primaries" every 4 years (the primaries seem to last about a year) followed by a presidential, congressional, partial senate, and numerous state elections seems to have campaigns that lasts about a year. So out of every 4 years it looks like 3 are election campaign years and one, the year immediately after the presidential election, is about the only campaign free year out of the 4.

Anyway, it is the night of day 2 of the Australian federal election campaign.

Is it true that Australian Citizens are free to vote?

And that Australia punishes those who do not exercise this freedom?

What a country!

The US electoral cycle is a bit tedious, given that it seems three years in every four contain electioneering and the fourth contains the complaints that the election yielded the wrong result.

And this despite promises to make EVERY VOTE COUNT...

Why, in a disturbing number of districts, there are more votes even than voters!

And even so, the complaints continue!

What a country!
