      In the past week I've been achieving 10,000 to 12,000 steps a day with the exception of one day and I got in 7,000 but that's because we were at the movies all afternoon so it was hard to catch up after that.

      My knees can't handle my going over 12,000 steps so I'll try to keep it around that number for now.

      I've been trying to get between 10,000 to 12,000 steps and today I might only get to 10,000. If I don't go walking with my husband then I at least try to get some steps in around the house. If I'm watching TV then at commercials I get up and walk in place or walk around. Gotta keep moving.

      Yesterday I did a 2 mile walk outside and then finished walking inside to have 11,000 steps. Today I did 2 miles again and will reach my goal of 10,000 steps at least.

      You can increase muscle slightly by doing some of the workouts I have in my thread but consistency is the key and increasing weight when needed. I forget to use my weights so I'm behind on building up my arms like my plan was. My legs have gotten a lot stronger by walking and doing the workouts.

      I don't care for gyms so I prefer to do everything at home or go out and walk.

      If you want to build larger muscles the chances are the gym will be your best bet. If you're looking to strengthen muscles and tone up generally then brisk walking or cycling can do that for your legs even if it doesn't necessarily do much for your arms.

      I haven't been to a gym in years but my leg muscles are bulky simply because of the hiking and cycling I've done. Hauling someone my size (I'm about 6'3 and weigh around 250) up big hills takes muscle power, so my leg muscles responded and grew.

      The Bible comes as a complete package. If we want to pluck verses out of context so make them mean what we want them to mean, if we want to ignore the passages that are inconvenient to our outlook, we should be intellectually honest enough to throw our Bibles in the trash and admit we are following Crowley and not Christ.
