As per Albion's most generous and deeply sincere request

This is a thread

About

People from the USA

Abbreviated to USAns

when spelled out in full

USAns is U[SUP]nited[/SUP] S[SUP]tates[/SUP] of A[SUP]mericans[/SUP]

Some folk like to remove the US part of the nations name.

But that seems churlish.

It is after all, the proper name for the land

and USAns like to chant U S A .. U S A .. U S A .. U S A .. U S A .. U S A ..

At sporting events and at political rallies.

Question: If Americans are US'ns, then are Australians properly called Urine's?

I do not get your derivation. Please, good Anglican sir, explain it. By the way is it USAns.

I'd like to visit Canada again. It's a lovely place with interesting people.

I liked Canada. I liked most places I visited in the US as well. Not so keen on NYC.... too many people. Curiously the only place in the US I felt uneasy was in the middle of the woods, the time I came across an old cabin that looked pretty derelict but just had something of a bad vibe about it. Not many places give me the creeps but for some reason that place did. It had the kind of vibe of the place the recluse lived, who invited children back to his cabin for all sorts of bad reasons. That cabin is very near one of the trails I hike reasonably regularly when I get the chances, and it troubles me every time. There's literally nothing tangible about it, it just bothers me.

I lived in Los Angeles and in Lafayette (in the San Francisco bay area). I visited Arizona (Sedona and a holiday place adjacent to Colorado RIVER). I liked Lafayette. Los Angeles was too big and too polluted. I also visited Yosemite national park. That was nice.
