What toy did you want but didn't get for Christmas?

Well I WAS going to get a PS4 but my laptop said "nope" and decided to die..I got a new hard drive in it and its working fine now. The PS4 can wait til next year anyways..they are like $400 now.

I wanted a drum kit or a guitar it didn't matter, but my parents bought me a guitar eventually so blessed

I had one of those. They were pretty cool, at least by the standards of the day.

Aw! A Merlin! I had one of those!

My brother and I were pretty fortunate growing up as far as gifts. We got some pretty cool stuff (loved the Atari 2600!!). In today's dollars it would be about $700 new. I also recall getting the John Lennon/Yoko Ono "Double Fantasy" record from my grandmother. When she bought it she felt lucky since it was the last one in the store. A guy behind her in line offered to pay her double so he could have it instead. She said "no" and wondered why someone would do that. When she got to the car she found out on the news that John Lennon had been shot that day.

As for what I wanted but never got - 'Simon'. Why that was so objectionable I'll never know.
