I have mixed feelings about insurances...life, auto, homeowners, disability, etc... On one hand you are obligated to have it and it's nice for emergencies. On the other your claims could get denied!

We are looking into switching companies. We've been State Farm customers most of our lives and 5 years ago we almost got rejected for homeowners insurance because we had "too many claims". Isn't that what insurance is for?

Do you like your insurance company? Do you feel you pay too much?

Yes, insurance companies often raise the insurance due to claims and that IS what it's for. Like many companies seem making money is the most important thing to them.

I have auto and renters insurance that together total about $38.00 a month. Wish they were less but I know it's not that high. I have Allstate insurance and have for a long time. I don't even have comprehensive but only liability insurance. My car is about 20 years old and on it's last "leg."

I'd hate to list how much we pay monthly for insurance :( It's almost criminal! We have auto, homeowners, disability, and each of us has Universal Life Insurance policies.

I like who I have but feel insurance is overpriced.

There are some insurance companies which are non-profit. Basically the company is owned by the insured themselves.

We bundle our insurance coverage and that seems to help with the cost some

My car insurance is cheap but I only have the minimum costs around 35 a month but considering I have no tickets or accidents and have never cost them anything I think that is high

Which companies are those? Oops just saw you're in Canada so maybe that's why I don't know about them.

We bundle our insurance too for discounts and have accident free and no tickets. We make sure we have the good coverage for auto and home because we don't want to regret it later.

Actually in our state if you have a million dollars to put up in escrow you can be self insured and I know of a couple of Mennonite communities that have that and they are billed only when there is a claim

My auto minimum is about 17.00 a month but I think it's lower because I have renters insurance too and that is 21.00 a mo.
