I was born with a hernia and had a very serious surgery at 3 weeks old, don't remember a thing thank God, 1984.
Developed another hernia not so long ago and had surgery in 2015.
Gall bladder removal surgery in 2016.
Just curious if you don't mind sharing, I consider myself rather young for going through 3 stomach related surgeries, my tummy sucks lol

I had sinus surgery due to my allergies in 1993. It helped for about six months and then you really couldn't even tell that I'd had it.

I had extensive, emergency heart surgery immediately after my emergency C-Section birth (I was baptized - with an eye dropper - in between). This almost always results in a huge scar that lasts a lifetime, but there was a plastic surgeon available who sewed me up and now there is virtually no scar whatsoever (so I have nothing to post, lol); I understand this is very, very unusual so I was blessed. Although I see a cardiologist annually, my ticker is fine and I've always been physically active.

I was born 3 months early and I was born with Hydrocephalus and had a shunt put in at birth. I have had MANY revisions since then. I have also had an eye surgery for lazy eyes, ingrown toe nails removed on both big toes. (I don't see that as a surgery but I guess it is)

Oh yeah I had ingrown toe nails too on both feet. I was going to post that but I forgot if it was more of a procedure than a surgery, technically it's a surgery but I didn't go under. I was actually sitting up looking at it lol I thought it exciting.

I had "female" surgery in 1989 by a doctor who ended up molesting me...my view of doctors changed and of getting surgery without another opinion. He did a surgery I did not necessarily need.

So sorry that's horrible! I was molested at a young age too, it's always been difficult to bring it up as I naturally wish to suppress it.
Again, my heart goes out to you.

Thank you DH. So sorry that happened to you, too. I don't see how people can do such things but personally I'm glad he's gone to the great beyond.

Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy when I was about 12 or 13 years old. I need to undergo several other surgeries to fix my broken body, but I don't know if I will be able to.

Don't think I've had any surgery at all. I think the closest I've had was a few stitches when I stuck a wallpaper scraper in my wrist (not intentionally, I should say).

Is it a financial thing or fear of the surgery?

I've spent a lot of time in hospitals but never really had any surgeries. I've had oral surgeries, LOTS of them, but I don't count those as they were pretty minuscule to me.
I've never broken a single bone in my body or anything. Growing up, I was envious of kids with casts. lol Everyone would flock to them and form a line to sign their cast. I wanted to be on the other side of that. It's weird, I know.

I've never had any surgeries. I'm hoping for many more wonderful years ahead without having any. My fiance has had her tonsils out but otherwise has not had surgery. I am highly suspicious that I will need to have surgery at some point for my hips or knees, though, as I already have problems with pain there.

I am so sorry to hear this. I don't get why some do this at all.
