Well, I finally found someone to go on a first date with. He is older than me quite a bit and he asked me to go out to dinner with him. I am meeting him at a nearby restaurant on Sat. He, too, is a widow(er). Seems nice enough. It will be nice to have dinner with this older gent. I am being careful as always and not telling him where I live and meeting him somewhere neutral. I don't know what I'm having for dinner yet but right now I have a taste for a Greek Salad. Yum. He says he's going to have steak.

Yes, he is coming about 30 miles to see me. I plan on having an Irish Coffee first! Anyone ever have one? They are good.

Back from the date. Turns out he is even older than me more that I thought. He is a nice person, though. Age is only a number and we can meet lots of good people in life if we are open. I had babyback ribs, onion soup, baked potato, Irish Coffee. Invited him over and we listened to music. He met my pet family. He is on oxygen. Poor guy has had pneumonia for 3 years now. I left a generous tip. Had a nice time.
