Stay away from swamps, that is where they live. :)

Stay away from Australia, that is where they live (along with spiders, crocodiles and other things that don't play fair) :p

Indeed. We Americans always go by what the Huffington Post (!) has to say when we want a really careful analysis of the events of the day. :biglaugh:

The majority of the remaining media are OWNED
by those that sponsored Trump's push for the WH

And the EDITORIAL CONTENT, NEWS COVERAGE, AND NEWS COMMENTARY on all of those media outlets, with only a couple of exceptions, have been strongly anti-Trump since he announced for the presidency.

So ownership is not relevant to the issue. But you knew that, since you felt the need to capitalize the word, knowing that it was misleading.

There is more news out there, which suggest, that your total should actually read 6,000 children separated from parents
and there is no record kept, of their whereabouts

I saw the item in a media page, and accept it shows a serious lack of documentation
on the part of the 'abductors' and concern for the reason they have (it is suggested) been-lost
I will if it is still around post a link to that page

It's a nice story, and certainly shock-worthy, but here's what's being missed (this is from the first link above):

Federal officials said the children were not actually lost, but their sponsors didn’t respond to phone calls checking on them. They emphasized that Office of Refugee Resettlement is no longer legally responsible for the children once they were placed in a sponsor’s custody.

I'll translate, since I read the actual government report from which this news is sourced - once the children are placed with sponsor families, ORR ends its legal involvement. There were follow-up checks that were done with some of the sponsor families - an attempt to learn the whereabouts of these children/families, and how they were doing. Some families either did not respond, or were unable to be contacted/whereabouts unknown. The government did not lose them.

As an example - if a child is adopted by a certain family, that child and family may well receive services from a local adoption agency to arrange placement, examine the home, interview the family, etc. There may also be transition services provided to assure the child and family have everything they need to function as a family. Eventually, though, that family will become independent - maybe even move to Alaska. Sometimes the adoption agencies might want to do a follow-up with them (after they've finished receiving services) - to ask about progress, ask if they need any assistance, etc. BUT, if the agency doesn't know they've moved to Alaska - has no contact info for them - all it means is they were unable to contact them. The agency did not lose them.

Jeez I hate conspiracy nonsense...

No matter how you look at it 2,300 children separated from their parents in a little over a month is a lot. And a lot of grief.

Most of the liberal press made that claim, but it isn't factual.

@ ImaginaryDay2

I feel that you concur-with and support what has been done ?

What you linked to, and alluded to, is a separate story from the border separation issue. That's what I addressed. If you'd like to address the rest of my post, I'll oblige you.

I do historical-searching too

Did you happen to read the government report on which the (misrepresented) news story was based? I have. If not, that might be worth some "historical searching".
