As a believer you have the Holy Spirit living in you. You don't believe that the Holy Spirit would have to suffer do you? Didn't Jesus suffer for your sins already? You're covered by Christ's righteousness.

Ephesians 4:30 (speaking to holy ones, in covenant relationship with God):
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Isaiah 63:10 (speaking of holy ones, in covenant relationship with God):
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

Could grieving the Holy Spirit in fact be starting down the path that leads unto death?

1 John 5:16:
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

Unfortunately you take Isaiah and 1 John far out of context so that you attempt to have them mean something the author never intended.
