There you go again, as usual insulting stuff that isn’t true. You also can’t seem to answer my question. Last time I checked I never stated that I worship the Saints, but I’m not surprised coming from you. Your style of passive aggressive then feigning innocence is exactly what causes people to get fed up. I’m done arguing with you since you can’t answer my post and then try to deflect it on me to make me look bad.

You got all grumpy when I talked about everyone who is adopted by God being a saint. You wanted to discuss only those whom your denomination has canonized.
Now...what is your question regarding justification. Have I been unclear in my statement that God alone justifies?

Because that is what I wanted to discuss in my topic, that is my choice. You continued to derail the thread and now you try to feign innocence. If you didn’t like how it went, you didn’t need to respond, but you feel the need to post to criticize. Don’t post where you’re ignorant in an area.

What, specifically, do you wish me to answer about justification that I haven't already answered in 1500+ posts available in the two threads?

And tell me what denominational dogma I’ve put forward? I’m very interested to see if that’s a factual claim or just a foot in the mouth moment. :)

Some seem to have been BORN with a foot in their mouth!

Well, it's that Eastern Orthodox cross that elicits such a violent reaction in him, I think. You're tied to historical, Orthodox Christianity, therefore not to be trusted.

Well, that reaction does have its merits, I say! :)

No, you made that up.

Menno! Did you take up mind-reading now too?

You need more practice and some tutorial

Nowhere do you find that "Justification is God's gift to those repenting."

Can you spell Romans 8:29-30?

Have you ever READ it?

God CALLS us to REPENTANCE, JUSTIFIES us in Baptism, and GLORIFIES those perfected inthe Faith...

In fact, anyone who reads what you wrote should recognize that you just removed grace and replaced it with works.

Why won't you ever capitalize the word Grace?

God's Call is Grace, His Justification is Grace, and His Glorification is Grace...

So what are you mumbling about?

Tell me what God's word says.

Kinda hard to pull that foot out of your mouth, isn't it?

Nice dodge though...

The mouth is a terrible thing to waste! :)

It is a parable about a master who leaves and comes back with the expectation that he'll have more money when he returns. He's happy with two servants who doubled his money. He's upset with the one who buried the money out of fear.
The interpretation is up for grabs.

Interetation of the Bible is up for grabs?

The defense rests...

And can now depart in Peace...

The Bible does not mean what you WANT it to mean...

The meaning of the Bible is Not up for grabs...

Lord have Mercy!

Indeed, there is application for us in daily living that should not be ignored. We cannot, however, build a doctrine of justification around a parable. Jesus was not providing objective data in the parables. He was providing subjective opportunities to ponder how we live our lives on earth.

Are those new tennie-runners you got on?

IF you have a "Doctrine of Justification" then it is utterly appropriate to ask how it relates to the Gospel Parables...

BECAUSE...

YOU are proclaiming your false Doctrine of Justification as Gospel Truth...

George had written: said:
What confuses me is when someone says
Baptism is a public profession of someone accepting Christ and nothing more,
that it does not wash away sin.

Drop your denominational dogma.

You were asked to name the "denominational dogma" you have accused George of having in his question...

He asked you what it might be, because he has simply asked a question...

You asked him to share his thoughts...

This is a pretty funny exchange, truth be told...

Yet sad in its own terms...

I think this whole thread is kinda sad. Where does it say it is okay to talk to each other like people have in this thread? Where is that in the Bible?

Accusing an Orthodox Christian of miscreance is greatly encouraged as a general rule...

We pay bonuses for unjust accusations - Often!

George can't drive him out, because by participating in this thread, he has a dog in the fray...

'Twouldn't be propah! Mod or not...

If I were a Mod, I could not ethically silence Menno for the same reason...

It would take an outside mod to give corrections...

And I have a really hard time not trolling Menno...

I mean, he so deserves it!! :):)

Which makes my repentance more challenging...

Mind you...

That's enough dear Christians! If you can't behave yourselves then I will aid you in closing this thread. You're nice to one another in other threads so it must be the topic?

Sorry, MC, I know you wanted the thread to remain open... but I can't allow this treatment to happen because it's not a good witness for our faith to bash each other like this and see who can get the most creative insult in.

This post is posted at my (MoreCoffee) request by the good grace and tireless service of our Forum Administrator Lämmchen

Justification is such an important matter for Christians that it deserves to be discussed and civilly debated among brothers and sisters who disagree about exactly what the word means and how Christians receive it and experience it in their lives. This thread was created for that end as was stated in the first post (almost 1,900 posts ago) that launched the topic here in Christianity Haven's Christian Theology forum. And now, after so many posts and so much good discussion it appears to be time to call it a day - not because we have reached a consensus not because we accept one another's views as genuinely Christian but because the discussion may have exhausted the pool of tolerance that was available to us as a Christian forum. For my part I would be happy to let the topic continue until all the participants were tired of it and let it die a natural death through lack of continuing interest and new posts but that cannot happen partly because the lessons learned (and some were learned) are mixed with some bitterness and the bitterness is beginning to be present too much and too often. So let us thank God for the good that is present in the discussion thus far, thank one another for the good things written and for the civil posts posted and move on to new debates in new threads.

God bless and keep you all.
