Do you have assurance that you will have everlasting life with God?

Do you have assurance that you will have everlasting life with God? This is a poll and the options are Yes, No and I am not sure.

This is begun because of the Justification thread where we have members (who believe that works are a part of Justification) are uncertain of their salvation.

If you vote, please tell us why and back it up with scripture.

I voted yes and there are multiple verses of scripture I can use but the easiest one to type is John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

I can NEVER be confident if justification depended upon me even 0.000000000000000000001%

But it depends on Jesus 100.000000000000000000%

Jesus is the Savior. Not me.

Thus, I can have absolute assurance.
We are justified by works - just not our own.

Romans 8:1 tells us that no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Romans 8 also speaks about how nothing can separate us from the Love of God, so because of what he has done I am saved and can have assurance

There are so many verses that assure those whom God has chosen. I would not be surprised if every book in the Bible has something that gives us assurance of God's promise to keep us.
      Colossians 1:12-14
[12]He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.
[13]For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,
[14]who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

      All God. None of me.

Works are part of sanctification, not justification. Yes, I am assured of my salvation. We are saved by grace through faith to do works.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
      Ephesians 2:8*-‬10 NIV
