The Mayo Clinic lists three types of sleep apnea and it says that these are some of the symptoms of this problem

"Loud snoring, which is usually more prominent in obstructive sleep apnea
Episodes of breathing cessation during sleep witnessed by another person
Abrupt awakenings accompanied by shortness of breath, which more likely indicates central sleep apnea
Awakening with a dry mouth or sore throat
Morning headache
Difficulty staying asleep (insomnia)
Excessive daytime sleepiness (hypersomnia)
Attention problems
Irritability"

Do you have sleep apnea? I have the first type which is obstructive sleep apnea. Do you struggle with some of these symptoms?

The gold standard is a CPAP machine
There are also dental devices that push the lower jaw forward and help keep the airway open
If that doesn't work there is also surgery, which would widen the airway.

I woke up this morning with my CPAP mask on the floor. I guess it fell off during the night or I took it off and don't remember. I slept apparently several hours without it. I can really tell and difference this morning because I am not as awake and alert as I have been. I still had it on for almost five hours

It's good to know the good it is doing you. Is there a way to secure it better?

It would be very difficult to get it to fall off. I'm thinking I took it off during the night when I got up and never put it back on. the thing is, I don't remember getting up, but I probably did.

Okay, it can be hard to remember to put something back on when you are half asleep.

hello, did you guys ever considered using MMJ or CBD oils, Compounds in marijuana naturally relax your mind and body. The best weed for insomnia typically contains a high level of CBD. Research shows that marijuana can decrease the time it takes to fall asleep. It can also improve “deep wave” sleep cycles where we get the most rest. Trying medical marijuana strains like [staff edit to remove link] for insomnia can help restore your natural brain chemistry. This may get you into a new routine, where falling asleep comes more easily. Just sharing have a nice day

sleep apnea isn't insomnia if you bothered to read the post instead of just wanting to spam

If I ever have a CPAP machine I want a mask like this. I don't know what my wife would think of the idea though...
