Not really coffee per se, but I'm having 'Ice Java', a coffee flavored syrup with milk. Think caffeinated 'Nestle Quick'

I've been up since 4:45AM! LOL I made french toast for my husband for his breakfast and of course started the pot of coffee too and then got out the bigger coffee pot because my daughter and niece will be visiting starting tomorrow!

I like International Delights Caramel Macchiato in my coffee.

Must be exciting having them visit! I'm on the graveyard shift right now, about three more hours, so I'm drinking Starbucks Sumatra blend (Keurig) and eating chocolate covered coffee beans

McDonalds Coffee - imo the best of the "chain" restaurants :coffee:

Oh, I just drink regular coffee. I leave all the fancy drinks alone. Plus, they have a Keurig machine at work and I use that. I use the ground McD's coffee at home

I like the McD's Keurig cups! They're kind of strong though since I'm caffeine sensitive. I've been grinding Peet's beans and making pots of coffee since we have my daughter and niece visiting and it tastes great!

Peets is good - as long as you avoid the flavored (foo-foo) and dark roast stuff.

I agree that McDonald's is SURPRISINGLY good (and cheap). A lot better than some "coffee house" places and high priced stuff. Simple.... clean.... medium roast... usually very fresh. And truth be sold, Denny's (of all places.... I generally can recommend NOTHING there) has a pretty darn good cup of coffee (just be sure to order nothing else there).

I lean on Starbucks Pikes Place medium roast, although I buy it as Kirkland House Blend at one-third the price (same thing). A bit over-roasted but good. I make it a tad stronger than Starbucks does but abide by the same "Thirty Minutes Then Toss" rule. I avoid all the dark roast and specialty coffees. Black and strong. Coffee is good - it needs nothing. The "breakfast blend" BTW is to be considered. I like it, too.

River road creole blend is great. Community breakfast blend is good for a medium roast.
Mcyds does put out good grounds that can be bought at the store.....I was surprised.

Lavassa makes an awesome chocolate grind.

I like a medium/ dark roast generally with lots of sugar and no cream.....I also love a hot tea too though....

I'm really not interested in places like Charbucks, as far as I'm concerned they sell overroasted garbage at exorbitant prices to people who are more interested in a lifestyle statement than drinking good coffee.

When I'm finished with my house renovation I want to look into getting a cold brew setup going. I saw one in a coffee shop in London - the staff were adjusting the flow rate to a specific number of seconds between drips of water. A more local coffee shop does cold brews and reckon it takes 12-24 hours to brew, depending on just what coffee they use. Since my wife and I routinely go through a couple of cups each a day I imagine I could adjust it so that every morning there was a cold brew waiting for us.

I sometimes put a splash of milk in my coffee. Putting sugar or flavored syrups in it just means it's pointless to use decent coffee - it's like buying a really good quality rum and then topping the glass up with coke.

There was one similar (I think) to what you're thinking - about $250 American. It'd look pretty neat on my kitchen counter :)

Yeah, that was just the most inexpensive home thing, but the same concept, I think. You can control the drip rate and everything else.
