Does the Qu'ran tell the same truth found in the Christian Bible?

You are lying out right.

Reference the surah you claim tells men to murder literally.

What about love and welcome thee?
Because I can find many scriptures for that in the Bible.
'Hate and kill' thee sounds quite the opposite of 'love of welcome thee' no?

Your Quran is hateful and I don't feel like reading it at the moment for you

2:37. After that Adam received from his Lord certain (useful) commandments and He turned to him with mercy. He, indeed is Oft-returning with compassion, the Ever Merciful.

2:62. Surely, those who (profess to) believe (in Islam), and those who follow the Jewish faith, the Christians and the Sabians, whosoever (of these truly) believes in Allâh and the Last Day and acts righteously shall have their reward with their Lord, and shall have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve.2:63. And (recall, O Children of Israel!) when We took a covenant from you, (and it was the time when you were at the foot of Sinai), with (the summits of) the Mount towering above you (saying), ‘Hold fast to what We have given you, and bear in mind that which is in it, so that you may guard against evil.’2:64. Then, (even) after that you went back (upon your covenant). Had it not been for the grace of Allâh and His mercy upon you, you would have certainly been of the losers.

2:159. Verily, those who conceal the clear evidences and the guidance which We have revealed, after We have explained them to the people in this Book, these it is whom Allâh deprives of His mercy and also disapprove all those who can disapprove,2:160. Except such (of them) as repent and mend (themselves) and declare clearly (the truth which they used to hide), it is they to whom I shall turn with mercy, for I am the Oft-Returning (with compassion and) the Ever Merciful.

2:285. The Messenger believes in what has been revealed to him by his Lord and (so do) the faithfuls. Everyone believes in Allâh, His angels, His Books and His Messengers. (And the faithful declare,) ‘We make no distinction (in believing) between any of His Messengers.’ They say, ‘(Lord!) We have heard (Your commandments) and we are obedient. (Grant us) Your protection, Our Lord! For to You is the returning.’2:286. Allâh charges no soul but to its capacity. It (- the soul) shall be paid for that which it has done (of good) and against it who has incurred (evil deliberately). (Pray,) ‘Our Lord! Take us not to task if we forget or (if) we make a mistake. Our Lord! Lay not upon us the burden (of disobedience) as You laid upon those before us. Our Lord! Charge us not with the responsibility which we have not the strength to bear; therefore overlook our faults and grant us protection and have mercy on us. You are our Master, therefore help us against the disbelieving people.’

2:286. Allâh charges no soul but to its capacity. It (- the soul) shall be paid for that which it has done (of good) and against it who has incurred (evil deliberately). (Pray,) ‘Our Lord! 3:8. ‘Our Lord!’, (they pray,) ‘Let not our hearts become perverse after You have guided us, and grant us from Your Own Self special mercy, for You alone are the Most Liberal Bestower. 3:9. ‘Our Lord! You are invariably going to assemble all humankind on the Day about (the advent of) which there is no doubt. Surely, Allâh never breaks His word.’

4:174. O you people! A manifest proof has indeed come to you from your Lord, and We have sent down a clear light to you which distinguishes (the right from the wrong). 4:175. Now as to those who believe in Allâh and hold fast to Him, He will surely admit them to His mercy and to (His) grace and will guide them along a straight and right path (leading) to Himself.

Indeed, Muhammad taught that God might be merciful if a person followed the Quran. What Muhammad never taught was God's grace.

Not only that but they are taught to show no mercy to unbelievers

There is more nuance.
If the persons kowtow to Islam and pay the taxes required of non-Muslims, they could live as lesser citizens in a subservient role.
If the persons were perceived to offend Muhammad or Allah then punishment could be delivered.
Of course the worst offense would be if a Muslim changed their faith or even decided the hadith (way) into Allah's mercy was different than the prescribed hadith chosen by the leaders. If that happens then death is the judgment. This is why ISIS has no problem with killing Muslims as well as non-Muslims. Neither, according to them, are following the hadith.

Not true.

Grace is mentioned no less than 117 times in the quran.

It is speaking of the spiritual death that leads one to eternal life

Quran 9:5 And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

No it isn't.

How can you discern such from a single verse? If you read sacred texts with a literal understanding, then you are simply over looking the actual meaning.

So you claim it is self contradictory? It says not to murder.

Just as the bible says Jesus came bringing a Sword, do you think it is promoting actual blood shed?

The Quran in no way promotes what you are blindly accusing.

Quran 9:29. Fight those who do not believe in God, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid what God and His Messenger have forbidden, nor abide by the religion of truth—from among those who received the Scripture—until they pay the due tax, willingly or unwillingly.
Quran 9:30. The Jews said, “Ezra is the son of God,” and the Christians said, “The Messiah is the son of God.” These are their statements, out of their mouths. They emulate the statements of those who blasphemed before. May God assail them! How deceived they are!

Does Quran 9:5 say to kill unbelievers? [as I said it does.] Does it say to fight them by hiding in ambush? ... Christians are 'polytheists' because we believe in the trinity.
Does Quran 9:29 say to fight those who do not embrace Islam (including Christians and Jews who also received Scripture) and to basically enslave them (forcing them to pay a tax to live ... "willingly or unwillingly") [as I said it does.]
Does Quran 9:30 lie about what Judaism believes and the Old Testament teaches? [as I said it does.]

It is NOT a blind accusation.
Read what I quoted and look at what the Muslims do in response to what is written in the Quran.
How are Christians and Jews 'living at peace' in Muslim dominated countries like Egypt and Sudan and Indonesia? [Hint: Coptic Christians in Egypt just built the worlds largest Coptic Church to house the bodies of all the modern martyrs since the other Coptic churches were full of martyr's graves.]

It is you who are blind to the words right before your eyes.
And you have not even embraced the actual religion of Islam and the concept of ABROGATION (where most of the kinder verses have been superseded by the call to war verses ... apparently Allah changed his mind and updated his instructions to Mohammad).

The death of the old man brings about submission to GOD, which is what Islam means.

The same message is all through the bible.

Both are regarding the Sword of the Spirit, that cuts away the desires and wants of self, bringing about submission to GOD.

All sects of religion believe they are right and others are wrong.

That doesn't mean the core sacred text ascribed to that faith is not true, but that man twists things for his own greedy desires.

Can you say crusades? How bout Spanish Inquisition?
