Taco Bell employee fired for writing pig on Police Officer's food

A Taco Bell in Kansas fired an employee who wrote a derogatory term on an order for a police officer and his fiancée.

USA Today reports the restaurant worker wrote "PIG" on the food wrappers on Saturday. Upon seeing the words, the officer complained to the manager on duty.

A photo of the food was taken before it was returned to the Newton, Kan., restaurant. It quickly began to circulate social media, USA Today continues to report.

Sounds like the worker got what they deserved. I don't suppose there would be much controversy over it had they written a racial slur on a black customer's wrapper or "cripple" on a wheelchair user's meal, for example.

If you really want to insult your customers at least have the sense to do it in private. I'd love to know what this worker thought was going to happen.
