Rev. Dr. John R. Rickert is a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod pastor who will be responding to your questions. He is an ordained minister. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University. He has a Masters of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, a “Lutheran” school. He has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Garden Webb University, a “Baptist” school. As part of his training he has learned both Biblical Greek and Hebrew. He is well read in Church history, the theology of “other” Christian traditions, and “liturgics” (that is, historic worship styles). He also enjoys reading the Early Church and Reformation Fathers, as well as sermons from every age of the Church. He served three years in the Army. He was ordained as a pastor in 1987 and has served in Texas, North and South Carolina as well as his current call in Delaware. He was married to Kitty in 1973, has two children and seven grandchildren.
