We have some front step concerts in front of the library. They usually have some good music there!

We also have arts festivals in my city and down the street in another city, too.

I should get my big butt out and go to them! LOL:thumbsup:
I would go with you

Aww. I saw online that there is a local beer fest around here but it cost $40. I don't drink so I would only pay $5 to get in. That's still a lot of money to wander.
Our library has a good book sale two times a year

How about movie night in the park? Our small town does that and the place we used to live had that too.

I don't think our town does that.
I think the next festival in our area is the one I am running a 5k in. I think it is more than one day though so maybe one of the other days we can go back and look around

It seems like from what I have seen of most of the outdoor events in town that the same vendors come to most of them

That would be kind of difficult wouldn't it because I live hundreds of miles from you. :)

Are you going to run? You must be in good shape!
Yes, but I would enjoy it so much

May you have a cool 3rd for running! I don't know if I could ever sign up to run a race because I wouldn't want to run in extreme heat.

Funny story: My daughter and her best friend in high school (both ran cross country) signed up to run the July 3rd parade race and it was a cooler day than they expected. I told them they needed to dress warm and her friend said, "That's okay, we'll be fine because we'll be wearing socks."

The plan is to run as much as I can. Earlier in the year I was running on a treadmill and then I stopped for a while and the last few weeks I have been running outside, which is much harder since we have hills in this area. I'm actually more concerned about the hills than the heat.

This will be my first ever evening race. I have done some 10k's before (last one four years ago) but they have always been in the morning

I wish you the best of luck for it. I used to jog and walk many years ago and now I just walk. It's hard because I have hip pain.

Thanks. I have a disc problem in my neck so I stopped running a few years ago and never thought I would get back to it. But, lately I have been able to run without neck pain

I'm glad you are still able to run despite the disc problem.
