Warmth??!! Quick! Grab some icepacks and aspirin...the poor girl's delirious with fever!!

( It's funny, I asked 'Ima' the same question earlier. It's hard to tell...
...sometimes things can get kinda ... shmooshed up :friends:)

Btw, Lamm, I'm thinking maybe I need a name change,
is that possible and how do I go about it? Thx.

You can put in a User Name Change request through the CH Shop :) Then I think it's Romanos that gets the request and will change it for you.

You're doing okay in CH. I think most here are fond of you.

When did popularity = "doing OK"?

When I leave this site, I expect I will have made more enemies than friends. Not because I set out to do so, but because I obeyed my conscience.

Day 7

Today I'm thankful for hotrhymez (I actually have a list on paper and yes, you were on it for today!) and Krissy Cakes.
hotrhymez who doesn't have an enemy here on CH except when he irritates Jo but they're still friends! He is caring and checks up on members when he knows they're down.
Krissy Cakes who comes up with some good ideas for CH and doesn't log in enough...we want your company! She is quick to offer prayers to those in need.

Awww, I think you're exaggeratin'.
I don't think ~Jo~ likes you, either.
:slap: Lol, I'm sorry, I kid, just a joke, my friend, you know that!
And hey, I like ya.
(Not really...Rens made me say that. I think it's part of Imalive 's
new 'How To Make Friends' thread or something. )

Oh, btw, in case nobody told you yet today...
Jesus loves you. :tea:

I guess a lot would depend on how you define "friend" in the context of an internet forum.

If you mean people who agree with the things you write then you end up with a distorted picture. If you mean people who like reading what you write even if they disagree with it (even if they think you've completely lost the plot) then you get a very different picture. Personally I often find the people I like engaging with the most are people with a totally different worldview to my own but where we can both express our views while respecting the other's view, as opposed to the way so much of what passes for online discussion these days is little more than shouting and insults.

If the insults are particularly clever then they can be very amusing to read.

My original comment was a kind of roundabout way of saying I'm thankful for a lot of what Stravinsk posts here. I don't always agree with what he writes but he often makes me think about things in different ways.

Sadly in much internet "disussion" the insults are anything but clever.

I'm often thankful for the chance to trade insults that are creative and clever with friends who can respond in kind and take them in the spirit they were intended.

I'm thankful you didn't include me in your list. As I have fairly frequent movements (usually 2 or 3 a day) anyone attempting to explore the area with their olfactory sense is likely to regret it.

I'm thankful for Stravinsk's refreshing sense of honesty. I don't agree with everything every poster posts here, but I appreciate their frank civility with differences of opinion.

Day 8

Today I'm thankful for Tigger and Cassia who can be quite elusive at times.
Tigger who I met on CF and am glad participates here especially to back up the Lutheran threads! But Tigger is a man of peace and doesn't like to get caught up in any online drama...which is a good thing!
Cassia who was on CF and I didn't know her but am glad she came here to CH. I hope she sticks around because she has a lot of good information and it's always good to have another lady here!
