From the Ghosts thread I saw someone post about how they think ghosts are here because they have unfinished business (I don't believe this). For those who do believe this, how does that relate to God and how He is the one who calls us home to Him? Does human unfinished business take precedence over God's plans for us?

unfinished business simply remains unfinished. The important things to remember here is that God doesn't really need any of us. If he wants something done then it will get done. God doesn't operate on the basis of need.

I think they're disembodied spirits of a pre Adamic race or giants from before the flood or both. But not humans. In Eden also one demon used a snake to talk through. So that one was created before Adam and fallen angels don't seek bodies to work through. So that was a nice bed time story. Brothers think of whatever is noble. Lol why am I looking this up?

The idea that ghosts are spirits of the deceased who have some unfinished business on Earth or else are trapped between worlds is popular with people who are not particularly concerned with theology.

Such a theory seems to explain some otherwise confusing things about ghost sightings. Often, for example, the ghost has been seen doing the same thing, over and over, across the centuries. How else to explain that? And there are many sightings of ghosts--very vivid ones reported by many different people--where the spirit literally expresses or shows confusion over his state of being.

Ghosts (the Holy Ghost excepted) are a fiction and nothing more. Just a pass time for bored human beings who like to tell "horror stories" and stuff. Waste of time really, except if seen as an art form and then they are amusing but not theological.

In mediaeval times it was demons, in the early 1900s it was spirits, now its aliens and government conspiracy that haunts the world.

Btw its in the Bible, Jesus casted unclean spirits or demons out of ppl and they wander the earth and come back is the house is not filled, the guy from the Garadenes. Those are not fallen angels. They dont need a body to work through.
