If I were you Ps 91, I would let this go, MoreCoffee will not believe you until you produce a certified recording notorised by 3 high court judges and verified by at least an Arch Bishop.

But you do not know what I will believe nor why I would be willing to believe it. Thus far I've asked for some precision in the use of the word "hear". I have it now. Psalms 91 and yourself appear to be using "hear" as a metaphor for receiving a message from God by some means that is not ordinary hearing with the ears. I have not said that God does not communicate to the faithful nor have I said that God cannot communicate with the faithful.

MoreCoffee: “What if the imaginary friend (or friends) you had as a child was (were) the 'other' half of your brain?

Pedrito: “Just wondering ... Which half is you, and which half is talking back?

MoreCoffee: “Apparently the half of the brain that has the speech centres.

Pedrito: “ Pedrito still does not fully understand.

Would that half be you talking to it, or it talking back to you?

MoreCoffee: “Perhaps re-viewing the video clip will answer your question.

Pedrito: No dice. It didn’t help. The video did not explain how the two halves of the brain talk to each other in recognisable language (as the real person and the imaginary friend), when it has been pointed out that only one side of the brain has that ability (“the half of the brain that has the speech centres”).

However, Pedrito thanks MoreCoffee for the opportunity to engage in some good-humoured banter on the topic.

It’s always good to exercise the mind in this way.

With respect, it's a fair question to ask how you believe God has spoken to you, especially when you seem to be saying God has spoken to you audibly but then said it wasn't audible.

It's perfectly true that God won't lead any of us astray but it's also a fair question to ask how you know that what you are hearing is God, because we know there's a devil out there who roams like a roaring lion (1Pe 5:8) and masquerades as an angel of light (2Co 11:14). Sometimes the things that you (generic you, not necessarily you personally) instinctively know are from God (whether or not you are subsequently proven correct) based on nothing more than instinct are intended for you rather than for public sharing. If you can point to something that demonstrates it was from God, or at least that it was specifically useful in a specific situation, it's worth so much more when shared than something that boils down to little more than "God told me it would be OK and I felt more peaceful". People of all faiths and none could probably point to a very similar experience, even if "God" was substituted with some other deity or "the universe" or some such.

Were those words you heard different from God's Word might I ask?

do you believe he's done it to/for you?
I don't think those who have been so blessed as to "hear" GOD would agree that it was audible from an outside source exactly.

In Exodus when God speaks to the nation of Israel the people all hear him with their ears.

Yet now HE speaks through HIS son.

Can the son of man be seen too as the son of GOD? Does scripture tell us that some are shown things directly and that great wonders were/are revealed to them by GOD/ Christ?

All I can say is to test the spirit (man) to see if it is of GOD, and produces the fruit of the Spirit.

peace friend.

Testing the spirits to see if they are of God is what we do and most of the time the utterances and actions are no more of God than anything that other people do without claiming God talked to them.

Does the spirit of Mr. Bill seem to bare the fruits of the Spirit or of man such as the speech about the hemispheres of the brain?

Man's knowledge is nothing

Can't comment on that. He hasn't written about anything he's "heard" from the Lord. I usually "hear" by reading.
