I don't use adblock to know how it affects seeing/using the site.

I've tried Firefox, Edge, IE, and Brave browsers here on the site with no issues except for the Chatbox emojis with Edge and IE and that's due to the javascript incompatibility.

I might try to download Chrome later today to see if I have any of the problems that you do. But I'm not going to use adblock just yet because I don't go to too many sites where I would need to block ads. If there are excessive ads on a site it means that they just want to be a cash cow and I won't oblige ;)

I am not using adblock with firefox, they have their own adblocking software and I use it.

I downloaded Chrome quickly. The thing I unchecked was to send word back to Google if there was an issue. And I checked save password when I logged onto CH. So far I have no problems. I will use it for a few days to see if anything changes. I can add a smiley in the chat. I can hover and see the scriptures. I haven't received a notification yet to test that. No lagging at all.

Cassia, have you tried fully uninstalling Chrome and then deleting the exe file from your Downloads and then go back to Google to download it fresh? You'll need to have another browser installed on your system to do this.

The Chrome has been uninstalled and reinstalled but the scripture still isn't showing, and the links to notifications I can check later but it seems to be the same.

Do you use Chrome as guest or are you logged in as a Chrome user?

Both but either way it remains unchanged. The notifications when logged in bring up an unlogged in window, which shows me who the alert was from but I cannot click on it to take me to the post to respond because it goes to a signin. I'll see what it does on IE ... brb

Internet Explorer has the scripture highlighted but now have no notifications to check. I'll just have to sit here till someone likes me.

Anyway the IE seems to work for highlighting an possibly for notifications but I have all kinds of things on Chrome that make it more useful. I'll just continue to experiment thanks and leave it at that.

IE is working so I guess I'll have to use that for this site :)

It seems there is something on your side for Chrome that is causing the issue. There is a Support site you can contact to get to the bottom of things :)
