I've had some 'glitches' the last few days with posting. I'm not getting the 'ribbon' up top (font, size, underline, etc.) even if I go advanced. I also have had trouble editing, and quoting posts. Any ideas?

Similar woes here, ImDay. And I get stuck in the typing window too. I scroll up, I cant scroll back to the bottom and continue, have to reload. smilies I have to type in manually, if I click on them they wind up at the top of the post, not where the cursor is flashing. And other minor glitches.

I think more info is needed as in which operating system do you use, which browser, what kind of device are you logging in with?

The first thing is to clear your cache manually. Then go to this site and run the test http://www.speedtest.net/

Tell me what the ping is and the download speed please.

Edited to say the test takes a long time so don't give up.

I just PMd you and didn't see this post before I wrote. Sorry. I saw your internet speeds and I wrote to you that it is slower than what I have and that could be part of the problem?

So the problems you have are the ribbon not showing, Editing and quoting. I noticed that you and Cassia both use Chrome.

Snerfle, do you use Chrome as well?

Chrome users, could you try browsing this forum using Incognito Mode and see if you have the same issues? Thanks!

I also forgot to ask do you guys ever Log out or do you keep yourself signed in to the site? I log out because I have Admin permissions and don't want anyone else to have access to that here.

I'm in Incognito mode with no issues so far. I'll try an edit. Typically I don't sign myself out. Clearing the cookie cache didn't solve any issues.

Edit: Editing works with all the features.

I've been googling to see how other people have fixed Chrome issues on forums and the Incognito Mode was mentioned. The members said that if it keeps working that one of your Add Ons is causing a conflict.

I've uninstalled/re-installed Chrome. All extensions and add-on's are disabled. Same issue. Let me try a different browser

Edit: 'Edge', no issues, 'Firefox' no issues.

But, again, it's only been the last few days with Chrome, not chronic

Might just be Chrome acting up for the moment. Edge and Firefox speeds are registering much faster. Not fond of either, but it'll do for now.
