Someone on FB mentioned that there was a marathon on tv of the Cubs 7th game? Did anyone catch it? Maybe it was just showing in the Chicago area? My husband would have loved to have sat around and watch it repeatedly.

I was a big fan on Dallas Cowboys up until a few years ago. Now, I think they are just a bunch of overgrown, overpaid men giving each other head injuries.

Lions got Arizona today. There's hope after all!

Edit: Packers get the win! It's a good day... :)

As a spectator, I enjoy baseball - mostly because I played it as a kid and it was a part of my childhood (going to lots of games with my dad). I confess that soccer (my wife's fave sport to watch) has MUCH going for it, but she played soccer as a kid, I played baseball (I AM enjoying learning about soccer).

In my SINGLE days, I enjoyed watching Women's Beach Volleyball, but now.....

As a participant, it's all informal and friendly now.... but I still enjoy a hearty one-on-one basketball game with the high school boy next door (although he wears me out), swimming just for the fun of it now (I was on a swim team as a kid, too), a friendly beach volleyball game, even a church softball game.

I want to see the Chargers loose every game they play..... and even more, to see the stadium empty for their games. It's called revenge. It's a sin but it's sweet.

I noticed Jacksonville even won a game against Houston yesterday. That's bad when you get beat by Jacksonville. Maybe they will surprise everyone and be good this year.
Cleveland is still Cleveland.

I was up in Washington this weekend visiting my daughter and watched the Seahawks and Packers game. Well needless to say I was the only Packers fan but revenge is always better topped with some Wisconsin cheese! :chef:

Oh you football fans!!! :(

I live near a high school and they've been having a lot of games this past week or so. The band is SOOOO loud!! I can even hear the announcer (TOUCHDOWN!) when our windows are opened. When I want to go to bed early I can't...because the game is still going and there is a lot of screaming and then the band again.

That's gotta be tough as a Packers fan in Washington. You could always whip up some 'Poutine' and tell your family you're celebrating Canada. Of course, you know the real reason those cheese curds are being dumped on!

Well, if Jacksonville can win, and the Lions can take it to Arizona, there's hope for Cleveland. I actually don't think they did too badly, just wound up with the loss.

Cleveland hasn't been good since I was a teenager and they weren't great then. They will find a way to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.
