Finally got a portable A/C put in yesterday to deal with some of the heat we've had the last month or so. Can finally live in our own home without getting heat stroke (jk).

Trimmed the bushes out front in the landscaping...soooooo tired now and I probably have a red, sunburned nose!

The gardener removed a bush from in front of our patio, so I'm going to see if we can put in a couple of stairs instead of a new bush.

So we get less than half a millimeter of rain in the last three months. My colleague and I decide to go for a walk before work a few times a week. We started last Friday with a great, energizing walk. We agree to meet on Monday, and what does it do? Rain! LOL. Today is nice, though, so gearing up for our second walk....

We're at the Lower Mainland, BC, in the Fraser Valley. We are suffering through an El Nino, and it's brutal right now. It cooled off for a few days and now it's supposed to get brutally hot again. It only rained the one morning for a little bit. Our water is so low that no one is allowed to water their lawn.

We've been really enjoying our walks...

It has been horribly hot this summer here in NC. I think we set a record for most days above 90.

Evidently, this is the driest year on record here, and experts estimate that it only gets this hot and dry about every 750 years. We are not allowed to wash cars, and our salmon are unable to spawn due to low water levels.
