This is just a little note about terms. The links that we are discussing are called Bread crumbs because they help you retrace the steps needed to get back home like in the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale.

Clearing your cache, cookies and temporary internet files might be necessary unless you want to try switching to a different theme?

Other things for you to try are the following:
Disable extensions for Chrome
Make sure Java Script is enabled
Try zooming out or zooming in for your browser
Disable "Chrome's" installation of their version of flash
Uninstall Chrome (if you have another browser available) and download the newest version and install.

Have any computer updates recently been made such as security updates for Microsoft? Chrome updates?

Cassia, what operating system are you using?

Is it windows? If so is it Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.0, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10?

Okay, that is a step forward.

Try this. It ought to work.

(1) uninstall chrome. You can do that from the Control Panel>Programs and Features if you do not know how to get to the control panel then ask and I'll try to help you.
(2) after you have finished with the uninstall, download the latest chrome web browser from the link on the next line
https://www.google.com.au/chrome/br...Win10|AU|en|Hybrid|Text|BKWS~Exact&brand=CHBD
(3) after the download is finished click "run" to install it.

If you need help with any of these steps ask me and I will try to help.

Hmn sounds like work. And I already had to redo all the cookies that were erased, now I don't want to lose anything stored on chrome favorites etc

Hmmm, let me do a test to see if you will loose anything. I'll let you know shortly.
