Acceptance of the Trinity & Nicene Creed
Yes
Who would you die for?

Wars have traditionally been conducted by appealing to the young men (and women in recent times) on the basis of King & Country, freedom and democracy, right and truth, and so on. Ultimately all of the motivating phrases amounted to "king & country" because they all come from those who rule to those who will bear arms and die.

Now, in our early 21st century world what motivates young men and women to go to war, often in far off lands, and die or be injured? Did you respond to your country's call?

The promise of a paid for education afterwards has motivated a LOT of the young kids I used to sub for in the high school who signed up to serve.

Do you think it is "worth it" in times of war such as now?

Guess that depends on how much you care for your country

Yes I guess that may be right. If one cares for one's country more than for humble submission to God then "my country wrong or right" is one's motto.

I dont see serving as going against God, if you do then I am afraid that I have little to say to you as I served and am proud of it

Those in other nations say that same and that includes nations with which your nation has had wars.

Guess you just have to know what is right in Gods eyes. As for this country there is much I dont agree with but it is still my country

Yes, that is the sentiment in the slogan "my country right or wrong".

The truth is that if you cant support then you should find a country you can, and yes I believe in universal draft. The service did a world of good for many young men and I look at Israel and think that is the way it should be concerning the service

I do not live in the USA so I need not support the USA in any wars. My own country has more than enough stupidity as far as wars go. I don't want to add to it. My country and the USA both are often wrong and do not deserve support when they are wrong.

So be it, while I dont always agree with policy it is still my country and therefore I can try to change policy

Nope, God first. Never heard anyone in the service say God told me not to.

Or perhaps they felt it was the right thing to do and I see no objection to it in scripture
