What are you eating?

Just finished a glass of homemade lemonade sweetened with honey.

In a bit I'm going to cook me up some rice, with lettuce, lentil sprouts, oil, salt, garlic and onion powders, and tomato sauce + liquid smoke.

Whenever I pick up some crap fast food because I was too lazy or time constrained to make my own, I often read the marketing and scoff at some of the lame descriptions. Such is the case with McDonalds, where I am told the Beef is 100% Australian sourced, the non meat items like the fries are "cholesterol free", the onions and pickles are "tangy", the lettuce is "crisp" and the burger is complete with the "secret special sauce".

My breakfast, in marketer's language.

It was the break of dawn. The first thing on Strav's agenda was to pick a few leaves of Scotch Kale, full of vibrating energy and freshly glistening with the morning dew. A clove of garlic sourced from Victorian farmers was next, thinly sliced and gently sauteed in a small amount of oil. Just the right amount of unsweetened tomato sauce is poured into the pan, adding a certain tang and mixed with salt to accent and bring out the natural flavors. Spring onion, growing fresh in his kitchen, chopped into fine bite size morsels and placed in a separate bowl. Rice noodles that had been cooking strained and gently mixed with the savory sauce. After a few minutes, all is removed and placed into a bowl. A touch of cold, first pressed olive oil is poured over the mixture and and together with Strav's secret blend of freshly harvested herbs and spices, breakfast is ready to be consumed.

I had a beef, bacon, and cheese pie with chips yesterday for dinner and it was delicious. I was surprised because beef pies are normally rather salty and slightly unpleasant ...

A mixture of rice, fresh broccoli, fresh kale, tomato, half an avocado, garlic and onion powders, salt, olive oil and barbecue sauce. It's yum!

For dinner, I had 2 pork chops double breaded with Japanese style breadcrumbs and deep fried in olive oil, red beans and rice and French cut green beans, washed down with lemon iced tea. Then Oreo cake for dessert with milk.

Back on track

At least for this meal.

I had a huge taco salad...it was quite yummy....towards the end of it, I realized if I finished it I wouldn't be able to eat the piece of chocolate pie I had set out for dessert, so I decided to quit the taco and get ready for some pie.
