Did you see the video of the teenage boy getting shot by the Chicago police officer ? What would prompt a cop to do something like that even when the kids was down?

That is what the public needs protected from. Cops tend to go overboard anymore, police chases are a good example. If it isnt a felony why chase when you can get the plate number

I didn't see the video but I think the cop is charged with first degree murder.

I don't know specifically what would prompt it other than behavior that should never have seen him given a badge or a gun. Unfortunately that's easier said than done.

Yup he never should have been given either but that is the sad state of affairs today. There are many good cops but there are alos many bad ones as well

My husband was a cop for almost 40 years and he never pulled his gun on another human being. He is retired now, but I think his breed is a passing blessing. Hot heads now replace the cooler, more seasoned officers.

I think part of it is the training and equipment they have now, they are more like an army than a police force
